Sam Allardyce has come out in a press conference today and mentioned that Gomis is not required as we have enough firepower up front to cope this season. That must make the Remy rumour fairly dead too. Ill be glad to see out strike force remain at the club for many years!

There is better strikers out there for that money or even less for example Alexander pato and he is younger and for 5million I think it would be worth a gamble. I have heard that Chelsea are going to test us and bid 21 million for Valencia and I feel that if this happens we won't turn it down, the problem is would we be able to replace him and his quality at such short time.

Chelsea are to bid 21 million for Valencia and truly test us, I just feel a bid like that we won't say no, problem is we haven't got a lot of time to replace him and his quality. losing him would be a big blow for our push for top 6. we have been offers Diego forlan but he is to old and not the same quality, there is a couple of good strikers I think could be good for us and cheap, loic remy and alexandre pato, I would prefer remy as he would fit in with our style of play and he is a great finisher.

I seen it also. Not happy because if true we will accept this offer. Who on earth could we get in so late in the window with the same sort of pace.

I'll be honest I think the stories about Chelsea bidding £21 million for Enner Valencia are unlikely to be true. They are close to agreeing the signing of Juan Cuadrado for £23.6 million.

If it is true, and we sell him for £21 million, I'd like to see us go for a couple of players who's contracts expire in the Summer on cheap deals in this window.
