Mendy conned the ref and when will refs get VAR right everyone could see that wasn't a foul if anything Mendy took Bowen down

Problem is keepers and the top 6 are wrapped in cotton wool and they now know how to con refs with no spine. VAR is a joke because it's still down to human interpretation.I'm concerned woth our starting line up and first half performance. He has to start playing cornet from the start and give him some game time. Pacqueta cornet benrahma behind scamacca when fit has to be our front 4. Bowen is a shadow of last seasons player

Strike that about midfield. He has to drop soucek and fornals. Put paqueta next to rice, with cornet, benrahma and bowen behind scamacca/Antonio.

Since the so called big 6 threaten the European super league the fa and Premier league will do anything possible to make sure they finish top 6, the only way anyone could interpret that as a foul is if they were corrupt or cheating

Disgraceful VAR and ref combined decision. They have to introduce a system whereby refs and VAR officials are penalised. Some sort of league system where the worst 3 get relegated to the championship because it happens far too often and something has to be done to bring these bad decision makers to account

It wasnt var it was the ref if that game was at Southampton or a lesser team the ref imo wouldn't have disallowed that

i know that sounds crazy but basically what the ref is concluding is that mendy was stopped from getting up to defend his goal, mendy knew exactly what he was doing

thing is DM will get fined for his outburst after the game but its the ref who the action should be taken against.

Chelsea fan here, I genuinely think that you guys were completely robbed of a point today. I thought your team executed their game plan really well. It was an awful decision, but something that is becoming all to common, just like the one against us for the spuds.

Law 12 A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences against an opponent in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force - would love to have the ref, VAR official, and even clueless Tuchel explain that when presented with the Laws of the Game in front of them.

Anyway, we are back in bottom 3 and having troubles scoring this season. Moyes best get his best first 11 sorted soon before it gets too late

Liverpool fan here, yous were absolutely robbed. Was a clear goal and the play acting by Mendy was a disgrace, seen the Villa one too fs - how can VAR get these calls so wrong? Every punter watching replays can see the right call but again and again VAR make the wrong one, how inept does it have to get before its fixed?

It goes on to say it’s a direct free kick if a player kicks or attempts to kick an opponent and that is ex ally what happened

Attempts to kick what a joker

If red cards can be overturned, why cannot a goal be reinstated, is that to difficult for those that make these decisions? ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

Remember the League cup game where Harry played an ineligible player, omayinmi, because he had played for Gillingham whilst on loan in an earlier round, made to replay the game against Villa and we lost you could say the same rule could be applied.

Terraloon it states careless, reckless or using excessive force: which is the pre-amble and the context the rest of the law needs to be read with. It matters not a jot what it goes onto say if it isn't read in context. Under your reading every single contact would be a free kick and we would have a game of netball. Accidental contact like that happened was never meant to be a free under the Laws.

“PGMOL - the governing body of Premier League referees - have conceded the VAR team in charge of West Ham's trip to Chelsea erred in ruling out Maxwel Cornet's injury-time equaliser.” so they admit it now but can’t get it right watching it on video and something everyone can see. Jarred Gillet needs to be fired to begin with.

I think it should be a panel of ex players that do VAR, obviously not players associated with a club like carragher and Liverpool
