We need someone with pace up front it's the only way you're going to beat the offside trap, Haller is too slow, you can never see him score a goal like Rashford scored, why not put Benrahma down the middle, its certainly a department we have to strengthen in January.

I wish we could post pictures on here, I’ve just seen how far out of play the ball was with the lines that VAR should’ve used, it’s on ‘caught off side’ if you want to take a look, frustrating!

I agree Stevie, it’s shocking, and yeah we were beaten 3-1, but man u were crap for 1 hour then they get a goal from a ball that went well over a metre out of play, maybe they might have equalised later on u never know but we will never know. I for one hate VAR it’s a joke, it even said on the game that VAR had no reason to disallow the goal, bull. We asked for goal line technology and we got this rubbish. Sorry for swearing I've just had enough of it now. I said at the start of the game a draw would be great, we battered them for 1 hour, and yeah they were poor for the hour also yes we should have taken our chances but that goal should not have stood, just like the villa goal should have stood last week, the only reason it didn’t was because of the bamford scenario a few weeks before for Leeds, VAR set their stall out and had to stick by it but it’s all wrong. Sorry for the rant lads al stick to just reading your comments lol.

I agree with majority of the comments however. you cannot expect to win a premier league game if you’re going to miss 3 sitters. Bowen had a fantastic game but missed a sitter from Coufals cross. Fornals made an absolute hash out of that header and Haller fell over his own feet one on one with the GK.

You cannot expect to beat any team, especially Man united if you’re going to be so wasteful with these golden opportunities. That’s exactly what we were today, wasteful. Whether the ball was off the pitch or not, that’s not the reason why we lost the game - the game should have been dead and buried after 45 minutes. We only have ourselves to blame.

Giro if I doubt would work in our formation either, he relies on players getting in and around him, no way can he beat two or three defenders for pace. If we continue to play the formation and style we are we need a Rashford type (obviously no chance of him) and is why Antonio works even though not a true striker. Our system works for someone who can outrun the defence and play on their own as we are not getting support around them too often. It is why Bowen works one out as well.
