Honestly, if he joins he joins. if he doesn’t he doesn’t. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. Bowen, Lanzini and to a lesser extent Fornals and Benrahma have done OK and I do t think we’ve missed him that much.
We are creating enough chances and just need a striker to help finish them.

Fornals and benrahma have done more than OK big part of the reason we are 5th in the league and into the last 16 of europa they had a little dip in form but they play through the international breaks and played a lot of minutes in the europa.

We will likely wait till Man U are desperate at the end of the window. If he joins spurs in the meantime so be it, but right now it is just agents talking trying to get him a move.

The other interesting thing with Lingard is that he played the final few minutes of the FA Cup match v Villa so is now cup tied - strange they brought him on for a few minutes if he is leaving this window. Not a problem if he goes to Arsenal or Newcastle I guess.

I’m ambivalent about Lingard now.

As has already been said, if he comes, he comes.

We really need to concentrate on bringing in a front man/goal scorer. I know we have done well scoring goals this season (4th most in the PL, I think), but Antonio needs proper competition and, worse, if he becomes unavailable, our shape isn’t good enough without a central focus.

Spot on iron.Al Fornals is turning out to be the player i saw at villareal not just a workhorse but a killer passer of the ball and benrahma has all the ability just taken time to settle and on lingard he could have come back but because he played well for 9 or 10 games he sort of used us to get a bigger move so i wouldn't want players who don't want to play for west ham look at the unity with all the players when we score a goal he should take a look at RICE who we know is going to leave very soon but nobody can comment on his commitment to west ham he's been superb.

Fornals grafts like mad has a lovely weight of pass, always seems to make the right choices and doesn't give the ball away cheaply.

Always back benrahma to beat his man was getting frustrated with his crosses from deep on his right foot but eventually one came off.

Not sure we will bring anyone in to be truthful. Clearly we need players but I think they are happy woth our progress and willing to wait till summer
