And in true west ham fashion moyes has apparently done a u turn on milenkovic (if u believe what u hear) and spurs are now in talks. I think we can forget this window guys and just hope the club is sold ASAP. Apparently the club also owe £54m in transfers through bad deals.

This was always going to happen, it was very unlikely sulli wasn't going to budge on the agent fee and neither was the agent.

That left one of 2 options he would leave for a free in the summer or another club would come in and pay the fees.

The fact that it's tottenham rubs salt in the wounds.

If we make no outfield signings this summer everyone involved with running the club should be ashamed of themselves including Moyes and Pearce.

After last season myself and I'm sure and many other fans were extremely optimistic feeling now is the time to push on make some good signings and establish ourselves as a team that is regular challenging for the European places, unfortunately we have actually weakened the squad with the loss of Balbuena, Lingard and Haller.

first time writing on here, i like reading all your posts i now need to vent all my frustrations about this summer transfers after hearing moyes saying he doesn't think us west ham fans are frustrated only us can spend weeks trying to get milenkovic over the line for only to let spurs supposedly come in for him, can anyone tell me why the other clubs around us can get there transfers done as quick as possible and we cant, look at leicester getting vestergard within days of having there bid accepted the club needs new owners for us to move on, gsb need to back us or move on they claim th love this club well prove it then and put your hands in your pockets and get thes transfers over the line . vent over lol.

Agree goldfinger, Moyes is saying he would be happy to go into this season with the team we have now and that it may be another window before we sign a striker, we are looking for players that tick all the boxes unfortunately we can't afford those or the daves won't put up the cash.

There are 100% players out there that tick enough boxes one of the boxes being someone to actually rotate and play when Antonio is injured which will happen and could be our for months at a time. What happens when we slide down the league get knocked out of Europe because we have no striker and end up playing Cresswell and baptiste CB. The talent pool for strikers that will come to us will shrink very quickly. Now is the time to pull the trigger 100%.

I'll tell you why goldfinger because we were never in the hunt for these players its a smokescreen IMO probably instigated by sully he thinks we are stupid to believe we were ever in for these players and if we were we always try and low ball the clubs selling these players from what they are asking even when the club says they want more sully has his price and his price counts as he's a control freak .

Maybe Sullivan is a control freak because he’s the majority shareholder, wouldn’t you be? Also he let Pellegrini loose with plenty of funds and look what happened! ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

The board backed Pellegrini TOTALLY, therefore, we may have little money in the pot. Fortunately, Moyes hasn’t wasted money, yet he is suffering due to the poor miss buying of the previous regime. If you ran a company and lost serious amounts of income due to poor investment you would ‘pull your horns in’. Any sensible person would. Apart from City, no one’s going mad buying. Villa are doing it with Grealish money, Spurs will soon with Kane money. We’ve just got to be wise, and both Moyes and the board are.

Apart from City, Chelsea have sign lukaku, United have signed sancho and varane, even Newcastle have spent 25 million on wilcock, we sold haller in January Moyes stated then he would be replaced in summer, a move along with not strengthening midfield that arguably cost us a CL place, there's no way he cannot have identified a striker in all that time, Balbeuna has since been shifted with no replacement, we must have the smallest European squad ever

And yet again it's the same garbage "it was hard to get over the line"
, blame previous managers no doubt when this season all goes wrong DSG will blame moyes.

Markwhu, I find it difficult to understand why posters commenting about no new signings fail to understand the reasons for it? I am confident we will have additional players, but you don’t shop at Harrods when you have an Aldi budget! ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

REDROBBO, clueless as ever. Why have Newcastle spent money? Because Mike Ashley took a non refundable £19M as a deposit for a takeover that appears to have failed.

Not really the point is it Mikesiron, fact is we are the only club that hasn't strengthened our squad, we've signed a goalkeeper that we didn't really need and a 31 year old cb that was on loan anyway, we are going into euro comp with a paper thin squad, is this really the "big club " you keep banging on about?

Imo we haven’t signed anyone yet as we have limited funds available and Moyes has been waiting to see what happens with Lingard. Now he hasn’t even made the Utd squad I expect us to make another move this week and to take stock after that. If we get JL Moyes might think that Bowen could be made available to Liverpool in exchange for Phillips and Origi ……its a chess game guys and sometimes you just have to wait for a move to be made …….

I wouldn’t want to see Bowen go, JL and Bowen cover striker somewhat. I’d rather lose Yarmo for a bit of cash against a CB.

We can look at previous managers and debate the positive and negatives all day. What has ran consistent is the owners and the buck stops with them if they had installed a director of football maybe we would have brought in managers that would suit the players we've got and wouldn't have to make drastic changes to the squad everytime a new man is brought in. Ie Anderson q pellegrini player fantastic in his first season, average in the second but the whole team was crap then. Moyes takes over doesn't fit into the team now we sell a player we paid around 40m for 2.5m for me that's an example of a poorly run club and we can't afford to be doing that.

No club gets every transfer right but if we had a director of football I bet we wouldn't have wasted so much money.

Wasn’t Husilos Director of Football during Pelegrinis tenure?

15.) 15 Aug 2021

Yes 1 season and that was who pellegrini wanted.

Director of football should be appointed by the owners with a vision of how the club should be run over the long term. They should work with the manager but ultimately be above him.

Husillos was demanded by pellegrini basically to act as buffer between him and sulli. I'll tell you who I want you and you can speak to the midget so I don't have to.
