De Santo wants a 3 year contract, or maybe 2 years plus one option year, unless Sullivan agrees to that, or something. Very similar, it looks unlikely that Espírito will be coming to WH
De Santo has a decent CV, and feels that a premier league club will soon offer that situation, if not he will go back to Europe

Following two big failures, (Potter not of his making ), Sullivan IS PRESENTLY feeling it's too much of a risk

Therefore, if Sullivan continues on the short term path, it will cut out many possible contenders , so there are only two candidates
Bilic and O'Neil, possibly three if Dyche can be persuaded , but he didn't show any initial enthusiasm for an end of season job

Maybe there will be, others who might want to try the fireman's job, but no one else at present

Make no mistake, for someone to come in for 30 games, to get us out of trouble, for me, deserves a contract
The way WH are playing, we look destined for the drop

Same old same old west ham chaos. And one of the many reasons we want sullivan out. So we would rather waste games where a new manager could be working with the players than commit

Any other club and it would be done. Not here.

And what is going on with Preston Fearon, Freddie Potts and Callum Marshall? Why don't Potter play them. let's consider arsenal recently introduced a 15 year old but Potter thinks our kids aren't ready. How are they going to be ready unless he plays them?

Showing my severe lack of Foreign Managers here but who is “ De Santo”? ⚒⚒⚒

I personally think Nuno would be better than Bilic. But it definitely wouldn’t be the long term option we need. But I think it’s more important at the moment to get in a fire fighter
I am not sure what his record is like with bringing through youth. Hopefully he would bring in Potts for JWP and hopefully take a look at Marshall, Kante and Fearon. Our last 3 managers all said they would play the youngsters and none have done so. Even in our current dire situation

Agreed Hammer-D. Its not working with JWP, Soucek, Rodriguez, kilman and tobido and for me that's the root of our problems.

As long as Potter sticks with those (ok he may have seen the light with soucek and tobido) we are doomed

HD, maybe the three managers, didn’t think, the young players were good enough?
Potter and Loppy I would ignore altogether, neither could run a team at Conference level, where I coached and played, complete incompetence, these people are charlatans, they are stealing money, Potter should be arrested for fraud, impersonating a football manager

Moyes, is different, completely understands tactics, and has studied the game intensely, but he doesn’t like to experiment, doesn’t like change, and insists on sticking to a formula, this gets him limited success for a period of time

I can only give my own opinion, and I have watched these players many times Potts should be in the squad, with Fernandes and Magassa, he’s definitely a player, I I would start him in front of jwp anytime

Marshall Fearon Earthy and one or two others all needed a year or another year in the championship first, not first team this year, that’s my take

Wouldn't surprise me if Benitez suddenly entered the fray. Was in the press saying he wants another PL gig, and a short term gig would give him the platform to show if he still has it. Plus we know Sullivan highly coveted him in the past.

Sullivan has basically brought us to this place where there is no guranteed fix. Manager's on short term contract struggle to motivate players IMO (as we've seen with squads results plummeting when it's announced a manager is off at the end of the season) .

Surely the solution here is to offer Nuno a 3 year contract with break clauses based on league position at different points in time.

That way if Nuno back himself to outperform those clauses he takes it, and if he won't take it it means he's after another pay off.

E.g.

1. Sack for free if in bottom 3 with 10 games of season 25/26 left
2. Sack for free if relegated
3. Sack for 6 months pay if in bottom 5 at Xmas 26/27
4. Sack for 6 months pay if in bottom 7 at end of season 26/27

A schedule like that of break clauses would mean he could get the long contract, but the club is protected in severe underperformance. If he won't sign for something like that, he shouldn't get the job to start with since there should be a strong incentive not to fail.

Joyfull, I can’t agree with you on Marshall, but you’re quite right on Potts and probably right on the other two. And I’d start you in front of Ward-Prowse.
As for Moyes …. he has a blinkered understanding of the game which is stuck on unconcious.

Stubbo, come on, get real. No coach worth his salt will accept conditions like that. Nuno (who IMO is not the ideal replacement for Potter) knows that if he waits, a suitable club here or in Europe will come knocking.
We need wholesale change. Sack Brady. Appoint a qualified Director of Football with a mandate to hire and fire a head coach and conduct transfer business. Appoint a CEO to run the club. Sullivan must step back or sell up. That would bring us into line with most modern clubs and terminate the stranglehold certain agents have on our club.

I have to be honest Joyful i haven’t seen many of them play so on this I may bow to your better knowledge. I just heard many people bigging them up. I know a lot of people were raving about Fearon when he played against Man U. I think with youngsters obviously they have to have ability but their physical stature is also important as too often we see them just get out muscled but I think Kante and Fearon have that as well as some ability. We all know Potts is definitely good enough.
But my point is with some of the absolutely dreadful appearances by JWP, Rodriguez and others they can’t be any worse. Rodriguez’s stats for some games were absolutely shocking and I’m sure JWP was just as bad. So they wouldn’t ruin the team performance as it was already rubbish.
For the life of me I can’t work out why Potter hasn’t done this. All he seems to have done is give Scarles a chance and with the exception of one game did a great job only to be thrown back in the youth team never to be seen again.

STUBBO mate, that offer won’t go down well, whomever comes in will need a minimum of 35 points from 31 games, that’s easy on the maths, but hard on the field

WH are struggling, shocking defending, and Powderpuff front line
Big job to sort this out

Before the January window opens, 20 games will have been played

Large bonus has been the words used by Sullivan, in every discussion, with would be managers, to avoid relegation
But no figure was ever quoted!

Everything is on a shoestring, that’s a major part of the problem at WH
Nuno wants 100k a week basic, too much says Sullivan
Bilic and O’Neil will do it for half that!

That’s part of the reason, we got Potter for 62 k a week via Brady
Instead of Max Allegri at 120 k a week

That’s the part of Sullivans thinking, that’s not understandable
He’s presently saving in excess of 550 k a week on wages
What difference does it make, to take the best manager you can get to TRY
And get out of trouble
IF we get relegated, which looks a possibility
Sullivan will be a massive loser, as the club will devalue overnight By a very substantial amount
He will lose more than 100 m on his own
Where’s the sense here?

Hammer D, many people don’t agree re Marshall, fair enough, but a loan for him was stopped why?
Ok if your not sending him out, play him, give him a chance, he was at Huddersfield last season in league one
But that’s a massive jump to premiership
Now he’s doing nothing
Clearly Wilson and Fulkrug, are not going to get the goals
And with the greatest respect, Bowen cannot save us on his own
That for me, will remain the biggest problem
Our defence can be organised, our players are not that bad, Potter couldn’t organise a tea party
But if we can’t score goals, we will be relegated No question
