Hi guys hope you're all well, I've seen some reports that Nuno would be willing to sell Paqueta for £60m, personally I'd be happy if we could get that for him as he's not consistent enough for me, he has a couple of good games but then goes missing in others and tries too many tricks and loses possession, what's your thoughts if this is true?

Hi Stevie, totally agree with you, if offered £60m I’d rip their arm off. Talented boy but too inconsistent as you said

IMO it’s a difficult one. I think he is by far our most talented player and I think he always tries to progress the ball forward and always looking for defence splitting pass, which sadly doesn’t always come off.
But I reluctantly agree that it would be best to get that sort of money, as he isn’t consistent and has a habit of throwing himself on the floor when not touched. But obviously that money has to be spent well and there is no evidence that would happen. I know he hasn’t played many games but thus far I have seen nothing to suggest Fernandez justifies his £40m price tag. We can’t waste money like we allowed potter to do in January. Diouf is the only decent purchase thus far.

Personally, I think selling Paqueta would be a major mistake. We should be building a team around our best players, not selling them.

£60m for Pacqueta would be good money. We’ve had one good season out of him. He is a too many ‘ifs and buts’ sort of player. We are West Ham, not one of the big 6/7. In the ideal world, Brazil do well in the World Cup and his value sky rockets, but sadly we are in a NOW situation.

I'm a bit ambiguous here, I like paquetta and he is easily the most talented player we have, but he isn't consistent, my biggest problem here is we won't replace him with anyone nearly as good and in a better team he will be a 100 million player like kudos

Exactly joyful. Under normal circumstances I would love to keep Paqueta but the situation we are in dictates we don’t have the luxury to wait for him to play with more consistency.
For sure we won’t get anyone as good but with the money we might get a half decent striker and CB and another MF

I see where you are coming from but history tells us, any money made will be wasted, making us even weaker than we are, it's fantasy time if anyone thinks 60 million will be reinvested correctly as it won't be history tells us that, it will be mediocre players on massive wages again as no one else will want to join in January

Yeah, it’s hard to see much sense prevailing in January, if times are desperate, we must all hope that’s not the case, desperation can see strange moves!
