Unbelievable. Soucek and Ward-Prowse both in midfield after their immense performances against Everton. Just what does JWP have to do to get dropped by Potter? Cut his own leg off? Today's lineup is another reason I think Potter is clueless. Has anyone told him we are at home and we can actually attack the opponents' goal? Bloody useless.

Well, the first half has certainly lived up to expectations. Potter is desperately searching the dugout for a top hat and white rabbit. Clueless.

Not making excuses for Potter but what other options does he have? Rodriguez? Absolutely not? Soler? Not happening cause Potter don't rate him which leave us with Alvarez (rubbish), Jwp (not very good either) and Soucek (also pretty poor) . So where can he get another mystery midfielder from?

A master stroke from our super tactician :
Emerson on for Scarles. Brilliant.

Sorry, Mac, but that IS making excuses for Potter and it’s time he started earning his vast salary. Can’t agree with you on Alvarez.
Füllkrug just scored. Why didn’t he start?

Same old story - a game of two halves. What a difference between the first and second half. Potter does this every bloody week. Suddenly we’re playing ATTACKING football!

Potter just cost us 2 points by his ridiculous starting lineup and 45 mins of negative boring football. That’s made my mind up. I no longer think he’s the right manager for WHU.

Alvarez, soler, paqueta all better midfielders than jwp, they actually try and play the ball forward and don't take 4 5 touches before deciding to go back, as seen today.
Ref had a stinker, player slips over and they score from the resulting free kick. Right infront of him, VAR can spend 5 minutes looking at fouls in build up play but can't take 10 second to look at a free kick that lead directly to a goal. Joke.

Tinlegs you’re slipping back into your old bad habit of being over negative mate. You hated Moyes, fair enough, and nicknamed him the Argyle Gargoyle such was your dislike of the man. You then hated Loopy, rightly so because he was clueless and had no idea what sort of player and system suits the PL. Now you are down on Potter who is just trying to close out the season having being keft in the poop by the afore mentioned 2 predecessors. He is evidently trying different formations and players to see where he wants to make his changes and has the luxury to do so as there is no way we are being caught by the bottom 3. There were positives to take out of today. Fulkrug looks like a very decent forward, Guillerme looked half decent and at least he was able to turn it round at half time and isn’t afraid to do so and admit he got the first half wrong. Stupid error from Areola and poor referee decision cost us 2 points not Potter. Sorry buddy

Well at least you’ve been patient Tin ?
Bloody hell, Potter will get this team playing great football and that takes time and bringing the right players in.
If you can’t see glimpses of what can be you’re either stubborn or blind

BRAVO Dabber. As was said previously, he has the luxury of being able to experiment.

I have to say I thought we were ok today and a little bit unlucky not to take all 3 points. At least we looked like we were trying to take the game to the opposition rather than having 9/10 players in our own half passing around in our own half all the time. A lack of real chances first half but it was definitely better than some of the dross I have witnessed this year.

I’m just so frustrated. We are not going down, so I can’t see why Potter insists on playing bad players in a bad formation that results in negative football. That’s not experimentation - it’s plain stupidity. Can’t help saying how I feel, and as for Moyes and Lopetegui, I was right as events proved. I don’t want to criticise, but I’m certainly not going to say I’m impressed if I think the bloke is clueless.

If he doesn't give the dross a fair chance, at seasons end when they are sols we will all ask why? They had numerous chances and blew it.so get out.
Dortmund want Alvarez? City want Paqueta? Saudi want kudus? Man utd want tobido? Spain want Aguerd? Clubs want Rodriguez so how much revenue will that lot bring AND moyes might come for Coufak and Soucek. INGS to Southampton

If that’s the case, I think Potter made his point weeks ago. There’s no need to keep repeating the same boring tactics which only attract boos from the long suffering fans. I fear his Chelsea days are the real Graham Potter.

As I said the other day the jury is truly out with Potter. We all know what a disaster Loppy was but we are now 2 places lower in the the league. Unlike others I didn’t feel we played that bad yesterday and have seen far worse from us, like against Palace and Brentford.
I really want the guy to succeed and don’t like to criticise all the time. A lot of the problems are down to Sullivan and previous purchases. But other things aren’t. I think the problems were evident early on, it is the absolute lack of consistency. But nobody wants to be critical after the Loppy period. We play a decent first match against Villa and then we play Fulham and palace and we’re so lucky v Fulham and so rubbish against palace. How many times have we had a long break and then come back and been crap and the constant tinkering with the side. I am not calling for him to go he deserves a transfer window to try to put his stamp on the team which is a tall order with Sullivan pulling the strings. But we need to remember this period because not many managers get this sort of luxury with all these dead rubber matches to try and install a more expansive style of football, I get the horrible feeling he is not up to it. I hope I am wrong

Very succinctly put mate. There’s nothing I want more than for Potter to succeed and WHU to contest for European places. I don’t get any satisfaction out of criticising, but I refuse to remain quiet when I think something’s wrong. I feel that everyone’s making excuses for the manager when the facts speak for themselves. Just look at his record. I sincerely hope I’m wrong this time, but I have this niggling doubt. Potter’s a big boy now, in a big boy’s game and being paid a man’s salary. So far, I don’t see much evidence that he knows how to get the best out of the players. Everyone knows you should start with your strongest XI, but nobody appears to have told our manager.

Totally agree, and play them in their best position. When Fulkrug came on yesterday he not only was a vast improvement on Souchec who he replaced but it brought Bowen to life who has been rubbish of late. For all of the disaster that Loppy was, in many games we did actually see the same group of players attack a lot, admittedly it was kamikaze Organization and we kept shipping goals by the bucket load ? but there must be a way to get us to go on the front foot and also be decent at the back too. Here’s hoping the second half yesterday will be a springboard.
