Projects take time to deliver.

I’m sure Potter was briefed with keeping us up.

Any improvement in style, or watchability is secondary. That will come when the discussions take place in the Spring about how the squad should look for next season.

Great result on Saturday. The team played for each other and gave their all. My only concern in terms of effort, was Ferguson, who jogged and drifted, waiting for the ball. Hardly a challenge and no pressing from him. I know he wasn’t on for that long, but I wasn’t impressed.

Let’s hope they can back it up against Leicester. If we beat the foxes we will be 16 clear of the bottom 3 and in all honesty I can not see any of the bottom 3 getting to 33 points by seasons end. So it would be good as I think Potter can experiment with different permutations of personnel . It is a bit confusing as many on here have listed numerous players they want gone but then on the other hand we hear there is no money for transfers so like it or not we are probably going to have to make do with many of the players we have. One player many want out is Alvarez but I would keep him. He may be slow but gives everything and has his mojo back since Potters arrival. He may make a few rash decisions but you can’t fault his commitment. If we can get a couple in with youth pace and ability in MF . I think our midfield could be quite strong.

Before GP was appointed, I was a little sceptical that he was the best choice available for the job. On his appointment, I was happy to back the new manager. After all, given the previous months of misery under Moyes and then Lopetegui, anyone would be preferable! There was an immediate impact on the attitude of the players, who seemed to relish a new-found freedom on the pitch. Even when results were not going our way, I never thought ‘Potter’s the wrong man’. It was obvious that he had his work cut out. Even after yesterday’s excellent team performance, it’s plain he still has a lot of work to do. Being a critic of a midfield setup of JWP and Soucek, I was very nervous at the starting line-up. I could not have got it more wrong. Every WHU player gave their all and each and every one stepped up to the plate. Three years ago, I started to sing the praises of a young 16 years old Ollie Scarles, and I’ve taken every opportunity since then to sing his praises and push for him to be promoted to the first team. He’s the best player I’ve seen for quite a few years. Yesterday, he got his first start in the Premiership, and without a doubt he was my man of the match in a team who all played at the top of their game. Credit must also be given to GP for his team selection and tactics. I’m certain the future is looking rosey.

Whilst I am really encouraged by yesterday let's see what happens Thursday which is an ideal opportunity to push on but if we know West Ham lol ? ? ?

Points needed? The way it’s looking at present, after next Thursday there’s just 11 games to play, if we can beat Leicester, and get to 33 points, it would mean, Leicester would have to win 6 more games than we do in last 11 games, as would Ipswich, although it remains mathematically possible of course, just can’t see it, so although it’s a very low tally, 33 points may be enough this season, unbelievably low amount but there it is

As Hammer-D said, let's beat Leicester and that should be us safe which will give Potter plenty of time to experiment until seasons end.

As for money in the summer? I don't believe there is no money. Every window we are told there is little or no money.

What I would like to think is that we would be sensible and go for youth and bargains but keep our business quiet and stop telling every man and his dog
