Montella has been sacked by Fiorentina. three seasons in a row he finished 4th. He also got them to the italian cup final last season and Europa league semi final this year.

Bookies have already opened betting on him becoming the next West Ham manager although it looks like a very long shot. He played for Fulham and speaks great English.

This is encouraging NOT! Slaven Bilic has identified 2 positions where we need to improve. Right Back and Centre midfield???????? REALLY???? The whole squad needs a major overhaul

If you had to prioritise improvement in two areas, that would definitely be right back (as we currently don't have one) and the other is a toss up between CM and CF for me, so I make him completely right. Have to remember we are West Ham and not Chelsea / City, only have limited funds to play with. Nobody is going to get the fairy tale squad that they are dreaming of, unfortunately

Hi steven yes on the one hand it is west ham , on the other, the window depends not only on the budget, but, who they can get shot of, who can be loaned out freeing wages and positions, this window, wh, must get players in all over the park,they are trying to increase funds by p/ex Nolan Jarvis maiga obrien, and it is likely that Valencia will be on his way,and possibly Carroll, all these tweaks will increase power hugely,and possibly give wh the leverage to pay the free agents that bit more, look what Sam brought us Jarvis,a joke, Carroll, great when he plays,that's not often, doneil Henry, still to be proven, downing, fair, Valencia, nice but not effective, no wonder dgs think they can do abetter job with transfers!
