like trevor brooking and ferdinand have said about bringing through better youth players for the sake of the country we need better coaches. tony carr has been producing some of the best youngsters in history and we need to start taking a risk in playing these like villa and southampton do. I really think the likes of spence, potts, chambers, moncur, turgott, hall, lee deserve more playing time as they all seem like they can make it and it would also mean we wouldn't have to spend as much money on foreign talent. the difficult one is ravel morrison as he had a good loan spell at birmingham under lee clarke, I would give him another half a season and re assess in january what to do as I think he will be world class if his attitude is sorted.

last year we spent around 20m on players and no one really knows how the money is split up to pay in installments. so realistically with the security of the prem for a season and extra tv money we should have a budget of 20-30m. that means AC for 15m and at least 2-3 money signings (cb, winger and another striker?) then there will be a couple of free transfers or loans around that, such as Rat, maybe simpson, lukaku etc. so getting another striker worth 5-12m isn't unrealistic as well as getting andy carroll as you pay in installments. I think we should go all out and get either lukaku or bony to go with carroll as these are both proven goal scorers.
