After seeing West Ham play Dynamo Dresden last night on live streaming, I would suggest that the club focus more on finding some decent defenders than trying to impress the fans with a 6th striker ! We need to get rid of Guy Demel needs ply his trade in the Championship and learn how to defend before he comes to the Premiership. He was absolutely woeful last night ! Winston Reids performance was also very poor. In my opinion Wwinston Reid is going to struggle in the premierleague. So Fat Sam, Gould and Sullivan - get ur heads out of your arses, forget about Carroll and trying to impress by spending 17 Mill on a player worth 10 Mill tops. Use the money to buy one right back and another central defender with some class. Then pay the 7 mill for Joselu instead.
I think you are spot on about guy dermal and at 31 he ain't gonna get any better
Injury prone to slow and gets caught out of position to often time to move him on or loan him out to get him of the wage bill he only a year left on his contract
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it. The fact is we have so many "half decent" players who really aren't good enough for the Premierleague.

Probably all on contracts for another 1 - 2 years so there is no chance of offloading them on loan and who would want them really ?
If we had shot of them, we coupod probably afford to bring in 2 "good" players in addition to what we are look ing at now. I fear for us Hammers next year ..not attack wise but defensively..we got relelgated last time because we couldn't keep a clean sheet or hang onto a lead ! How may times were we 1 -0 or 2-0 up and end up losing or drawing ?

Don't agree with you about baldock tho I think with a bit more experience that lad has goals in him, but the rest are all mediocre championship players, you can add jussi and McCartney to the list as well,time to bring in some new blood or this is gonna be a long season
Thanks for reminding me about the git Gary O'Neill ! lol....Jussi definitely looked a bit rusty when he played against Dresden and as for Mc Cartney, the jury is still out on him in my opinion. He played well for us when Curbs was Manager but my thoughts would be " Why would Sunderland release him if he was still up to par. Point taken though mate....
