All agreed then very poor performance last night, yet still many of the new additions still to play together and given the state the club and squad was in, it has to be far too early for gloom and doom, and some of the experts saying we should have kept Sam, I think that line endeth there, as for the up coming weeks and months I still sense in general optimism for the season, even today the experts are bemoaning SB has no prem experience, time will tell, we really needed anew face to sort the squad out, I think SB will, if/when we get a striker/winger in I do think we will give the big boys a run for there money, had we been winning comfortably that would be wrong, fair comment from Ironmike about it being their cupfinal against us, I feel treat these as preseason friendlies, we never did well in pre-season anyway and have had many banana skins in the domestic cup competitions, but keep the faith and COYI, I am really looking forward to rubbing some of the so called big boys & experts noses in it,

i hear that we are still after another winger and bolasie is in the frame. if g&s and sb are watching then sign shaqiri and a damn forward. stop messing about bringing in defensive midfielders and defenders. we need a striker and a good winger

Ok, its still pre season and slaven bilic quite clearly last night was giving some a chance to show they are worthy of a starting place (quite commendable) and he doesn't really yet know who can ACTUALLY play football, but on this showing I think quite a few will be offloaded. Tomkins had a shocker, Jarvis for all his endeavour is not a winger, can't cross and can't take players on. What is Kevin Nolan still doing playing? He is far to slow, no imagination and is past it. Time to get rid. Maiga. Whilst he may have scored in the past he couldn't now score in a brothel. His first touch was terrible and he is too lazy. Noble. I really like Mark Noble but I feel he is out of his depth. To slow last night, to many sloppy passes, no imagination, can't take a free kick to save his life. Dare I say it, but based on last nights performance not many of that 11 would feature next season. Problem areas all over the pitch, none of which was more obvious than the lack of pace and tempo. We took far too long trying to get forward which gave Birkirkara too much time to re-organise and then far too many balls played backwards. I would also suggest that this season is going to be a step to far for a few. Yes, I know, a few won't agree and your entitled to your opinions but Realistically you have to ask yourself, if we play this 11 all season what will we achieve, bearing in mind how we played last night. Also remember, this team was assembled by Sam and we struggled against a team that's only ever won ONE European tie before last night.
We seriously need a striker and good wingers

Hi. First time poster. Scraped through last night, and it seems to me we must get in at least another 1-2 strikers. Even if fit all year Sakho and VAlencia will only contribute about 20 Goals and AC if he returns in October will not be match fit before 2016. Defence and mid field look exciting but it is goals we need/cutting edge in front third.

In my opinion that was definately a thing of the midfield and the defense. how would they ever put so much pressure on us and play however they want to
