I honestly think that our lot have lost the plot.

Clothcap, I love your optimism but I think everyone is concerned because we have seen this same scenario over and over again. The problem this time is that everyone on here can see we need more players and we have to get a move on but same old West Ham mess about so much they end up losing out and the target goes elsewhere.
Just look around and you can see already the anxiety and frustration. Plenty of players available but we are blinkered

Professional people don't tell everyone their business, look at Arsene Wenger, love him or loath him he just gets on with it and signs players without all the crap in the papers about he is after so and so. Not us we have to tell all and sundry so other teams can realise a player is available and gazump us.

Starting to get slightly concerned now the Austin, Song, Remy, Jenkinson, Payet etc rumours are all getting diluted! We have actually let more players go than brought in, this makes our already thin squad even thinner and I really can't see any logic in the dealings at the moment. Need to bring in players and fast, take out Nolan, Jarvis, Downing and we have 4 capable midfielders in our whole squad! What's that about! What happened to the 25m kitty promised to a manager? Well Austin 14m, Song 5m, Jenkinson 6m there's your kitty gone but the squad is then ready to start a season with a couple of youngsters/free agents to bulk up numbers

I also think we should forget about ALEX song and get the Jenkinson deal done and dusted. Jenks wants to come to us so sort it out and then move on. Why is everything such a drama with G&S??
If they want REMY, then pay the flippin money and get him! They want to improve a poor squad, but at this rate we are going to be worse of. 3 weeks at least this has been going on with Payet only for him to be still digging his heels in. Doesn't it say something when his transfer is being discussed and he is on holiday???

As I stated earlier. All this time wasted on Payet and it now seems he has sorted terms with Marseille so happy to stay for another year. He did exactly the same last year to Swansea apparently.
Time to forget him and use the "Apparent" £14m elsewhere starting with offloading AC and Nolan to Newcastle and get Papise Cisse.
Then go get CABAYE from under the noses of spurs and DEMBELE.

Phil seriously mate, every post you make is negative, we're not even in July yet! Don't get me wrong I would have expected at least 1 more to have signed by now but we don't know exactly what is going on behind the scenes and hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised in the not too distant future. Personally I would rather have AC over Cisse any day of the week, even with his injury record.

This Payet did exactly the same a year ago to Swansea.
