Hi all, Liverpool fan here coming in peace.

I would like to wish Andy Carroll all the best at West Ham. He really couldn't adapt to our style of play and it's a real shame. To all of you slating him, he is a good young player. I think he has the potential to be a top striker for you lot as well as England. I can imagine him and Sturridge leading the line in the World Cup next year.

Yes, he may seem clumsy with the ball but he is a really strong and powerful centre forward who could do well with your more direct style of play. He may not be the most prolific striker but he is able to draw in defenders and knock on the ball to his teammates, creating goal scoring opportunities.

I know that the media has hyped him up as a bad boy with a severe drinking and attitude problem but just disregard that. At Anfield, he has never failed to put in 100%, even when benched for a majority of the matches. He never complained or moaned publicly and just went about his business professionally (unlike Suarez). Of course, he must have privately revealed his concerns to BR hence his loan to West Ham last season.

I think this deal is beneficial for all parties. Carroll getting more game time would be good for his development as a player. I genuinely wish him all the best and hope he does well, so long as it's not against us ;)
