Is it me or did anyone else notice how Lescott was very chatty with the West Ham players almost as if they were discussing the Chelsea game.

I noticed the same, can't see it being much more than old England buddies Cole and Lescott having a bit of banter whilst we nurse another potential injury to a key player in our squad. I hope that it is a sign that he will be joining us soon though!

I know its farfetched but if we are willing to pay Lescotts 90k p/w for the rest of the season, then take a look at Juan Mata. He is reported to be on 60k p/w and we all know Chelsea are too rich to care about selling him to Arsenal, Liverpool or United. Maybe an increase in weekly wages and guaranteed first team football in every available game on loan for half a season wouldn't be off the cards? After all he has a Spanish World Cup side to try and get into!

Just imagine Mata and Lescott joining our squad for the remainder of the season. Guaranteed survival! {Ed039's Note - Get a grip)

You sir need to put that beer down and take a good wiff of some coffee!

Paul Ince sacked at Blackpool this afternoon, do people think he would do a job at West Ham after his Championship experience and PL playing experience? {Ed039's Note - he has not done well recently, Sam has his doubters but I would take him over Ince anyday)

He should never manage again- useless and thinks he has some sort of right to manage. Hoddle and an ex Hammer are still my vote

If Ince promises to take the Manchester United shirt he was pictured in whilst still a West Ham player and wipe his ass on it on tv the West Ham fans MIGHT let him live if we see him walking up Green Street one day. Managing our club. ? Never!

If you look at the range of players out of contract in the summer, it would make complete sense to start making serious movements in the window.

Check these for example (some may have had deals given to them recently so the site I got the info from may not be completely accurate)

Kaboul (Spurs)
Lescott (City)
Larsson (Sunderland)
Fabio (United)
Jones (Stoke)
Sidwell (Fulham)
Rosicky (Arsenal)
Ferdinand (United)

even someone like Tom Ince at Blackpool at 21 years old would be a decent signing on loan for us!

Other leagues have the following (again some may have tied in new contracts or moves to other clubs, don't know how accurate it is)

Musacchio (Villareal)
Simão (Espanyol)
Antonelli (Genoa)
Emanuelson (AC Milan)
D'Ambrosio (Torino)
Matuidi (PSG)
Menez (PSG)
Gomis (Lyon)

Why can't we shift 3 or 4 bench warmers to make room for silly wages on a half season loan for a couple of the above that might be available? If their contacts are coming to an end, we offer silly wages, they only with us for half a season, no risk of relegation, experience for them in the PL, their parent clubs get to replace them early if they aren't re-newing their contracts. the one main thing that screams at me is the lack of finances available at west ham. So why don't we do simple business exercises and clear out some unwanted wage bills to make room for new ones?

Yes some of the above names might be unrealistic but surely there's scope to look at a few of them?
