Regarding the Di Canio situation, let's face it, West Ham are absolutely Dire and the performance against A. Villa recently highlighted this. They can't defend, can't score, have no creativity or pace in the team. Full of old past it has beens that have no ambition and no idea. This all stems from the manager and his lack of tactics. Don;t tell me about getting promoted at the first attempt and currently being ok in the premier league. West ham got promoted by the skin of their teeth and on current form could easily be relegated. There is no consistency and no quality. PDC may be petulant, passionate and have a firey temper but isn't that what you want from your manager. PASSION. How many of this current squad of has beens would remain if PDC got the managers post. Not many and I firmly believe players brought in like Paulista and Maiga would get a fair crack which could also in turn promote a different style of play more pleasing on the eye and more productive. Its no fluke that he took a team like Swindon from NOTHING to prmotion followed closely by another promotion. GET RID OF BFS and his SKY BOUND FOOTIE

I'd rather have a manager with tactical knowledge, man management skills, an eye for a good player and the ability to change things when necessary. Passion would be good, but it's not the be all and end all.

Stop banging on about pdc for manager fact is he just isn't experienced enough yet remember zola look what happened get behind you manager and your team and we will be fine if bs can't keep us up and cement us in the prem then pdc as much as I would like to see him back at the hammers one day would have no chance with the money available. I suspect this might change once we move to olympic stadium then I think the time might be right for somebody like pdc.

The Question for all those hammers faithful has to be: If Di Canio was to take over at West ham who would he play, who would he bench, who would stay and who would go and most importantly who would he play up front. My betting is that he has a few Italian Defenders in mind and he would play with 2 up front, probably both pacey with an eye for goal. Paulista and Maiga for instance. Carroll, Chamakh and Carlton Cole would be out as would Nolan, Noble, O'Neill, Taylor, McCartney, O'Brien, Jaskaleinen and let's not forget JARVIS. I can see the entire squad being freshened up with youth, quality and pace and in the premier league Pace is everything. Just look at Bale, Baines etc they all have great pace and defences struggle against it. It could be a real positive move and his no 2 should be Martin Allen :-)

It surely has to be more than a coincidence that Di Canio has become available just at the time when there is unrest in the West Ham camp. Question everyone will want the answer to is "Can he actually cope with managing a team in Premier League". I believe he can. Ok, I think we may have more than a few spats in the dressing room but I can bet that if the players don;t perform for him they will be sold or dropped permanently, something the west ham bunch of over paid premadonnas need
