I got to say that I give our boys 10/10 for yesterdays performance. The midfield and defence worked their socks of and were brilliant. Sturdy and a hard working they provide a good platform going forward. The only let down (and everybody knows what's coming) Maiga was awful and I'm afraid he would never wear a west ham shirt again if I was manager. He was slow, out of touch and quite clearly wasn't interested. Unless we can get a striker on that wants to play for us we could be in a lot of trouble this season. Time to face facts, our striker position is and was quite clearly a joker
The worst thing for me is the fact that with the Defence being so good it proves what a great season this could have been with a fit Andy Carrol or decent back up making it so much more frustrating and I can bet that the players are equally annoyed!
Totally agree. If we had an out and out striker who knew where goal was what a different season this could have been.

Kevin up front would be a great idea but unfortunately Sam isn't that great so its impossible for him to think like this
I agree especially as he barely tracks back now. He would have scored a couple by now up front.
We desperatley have to do something about sorting out our forward situation. We got to get Petric fit as soon as possible we need him. God knows what we would have done if we hadn;'t signed him
I think that bid sam just has to eat some humble pie and drop Nolan and play two up top, petric and Carlton cole.
How can you drop your captain? Team would fall apart without Nolan. he is the driving force of the squad on and off the ball, not to mention he hasn't got a great deal of seasons left in him - I would like to see him lead the team in the first season at the Olympic stadium though!
4-4-2 midfield would have to be Nolan, Noble, Diame, Jarvis at the moment - with Morrison coming on for the last 15-20
Then you can play Petric up front with Vaz Te. Cole and Maiga are two of the least passionate, least workrate related strikers with the worst goalscoring records I think I've ever come across
Once we have Downing, Cole, Carroll back we can revert to the usual tactics playing downing and Jarvis with Nolan, Noble, Diame in the middle - Cole and Morrison would be great subs for the closing period of games
We don't have to even think about our defence, absolutely solid and these guys are the very reason we are not at the bottom of the table at the moment, not to mention Jussi whos been mustard as well!
