It's now January 15th.

All we have signed is Roger Johnson.

So much for the '2-3 players signing immediately for Jan 1st' eh?

Is anything that comes out of the top levels of this club anywhere close to the truth?

Yeah us, 15th January and we've secured Roger Johnson and Carlton Cole. that's ambition for ya. We should be well safe with those two having been recruited. . NOT.

WTF are we messing about at.

Initial rumours said Belfodil joining then he wasn't then traore was guess he now won;t and someone else will poach him cause we are pissing about.

Its fairly clear that we NEEEEEEED CB's and Forwards. Get rid of Morrison and Diame and use the cash wisely. A couple of clever loan signings Dirk Kuyt would be a great move

We actually don't need any more forwards, Carroll, Traore, Cole, Maiga, Vaz Te

We could do with Lescott deal happening, meaning we have Collins, Tomkins, Reid, Johnson, Lescott in CB which is fine

Adrian proving to be a good potential long term keeper

Midfield is pretty much as solid as we are going to get until next season, the wings are nice, quick and experienced

The only other thing I would look at is our right back position and possibly our left back too, although I like the way Rat gets forward

So the only thing we really ''NEEEEEEEEED'' is Lescott deal to come through

Ed, lots more noise around, can you please clarify :-
A. Traroe looks very much a done deal subject to contract but I'd assume there would have been at least preliminary discussions before wp submission
B. Lambert, real or paper talk seems surprising if Traroe goes ahead and Carlton has extended his contract
C. Lescott, any chance as conflicting reports?
D. Belfodil have we dropped out given A and B above?

On the outs, seems Maigas days are numbered, what about Diarra or Joe Cole to me, these two as well as Diame seem to be struggling or at best play inconsistently.
Lastly, Morrison again mixed messages whether he does/doesn't want to go and a host of potential background problems (May or May not be correct)

Appreciate your thoughts/understanding what is/may happen and also if you have any other insights for potential incoming/outgoing players. Thanks {Ed039's Note - (A) Traore has been granted a work permit, deal is subject to paperwork being finalised, should be a formality unless WHU pull out (B) Lambert will be linked with every club looking for a striker due to the issues at Southampton, I wouldnt pay too much attention to it (C) Man City wont release Lescott until a replacement is found, there are more than just WHU interested, Claudio Ranieri is a big fan at Monaco, (D) Belfodil deal is very unlikely due to the complicated third party ownership deals in Italy, Parma own 50% of the player and are insisting that any deal for Belfodil is a permanent one, and they have as much of the final say as Inter Milan)

West Ham will sign no one.
The club are going nowhere with the person Daves.
The club are a shambles

Totally agree west ham full of crap and will do nothing this window as mighty hull have already showed. joke of a club that don't belong in the premier league

I think Morrison will stay at Upton Park until end of the season, can't quite see a £10m+ bid coming in for him just yet. But if he knuckles down, shows some more good performances and changes his poor attitude when the going gets tough he will fetch in the region of £15m in the summer and that is great business for us!

fulham manager says they had a bid knocked back for morrison now its upto the board if they want to come back with a 2nd bid.
so does the diame rumours have any truths to them aswel and are we considering selling our better players to other relegation candidates.
now in regards to transfers we may have pulled of a coup in signing this traore,
but at the same time they let c/c contract run out so if there are any problems with getting traore paper work through we are left with maiga as our only fully fit striker.
he needs to go out on loan to recover his confidense and then be sold in the summer he is not suited to bfs 451 system that is unless bfs has gone,
hopefully the right decison will made now I don't just blame bfs I believe they are all equally responsable g/s/brady and board they ain't stupid they tried to cut corners everybody knows that when a player returns from injury he runs the risk of having a breakdown.
pretty much everyone on this and other forums said back in last transfer window what we felt was needed 2nd quality striker cover cb amd if the funds were available a rb.
we got non of those only excuses about we had reached our wage ceiling due to ffp.
now I know g/s have done a great job reducing the clubs debt

Carlton has signed a new 18 month deal and it will take crazy money for Fulham to land Morrison. It would be nice to keep Morrison but if he's not happy he won't play well for us personally I think we should off load him to a top team and get the best price possible and in an ideal world we'd keep him but he's no Ross Barkley and his attitude is questionable.
