I usually keep my opinion to myself, but I have had enough with all the tv pundits going on about how well Big Sam has done.

Lets look back at when we were playing well this season it was at a time when he was forced to make changes due to injury to Carroll and Nolan. Same has a certain style of play which suits the Championship and players like Carroll / Nolan / O'Brian / Jarvis / Cole and I am sure he will take them when he leaves. The reason his previous teams have not done well after he has left is I believe because he builds his teams around a style of football and when he leaves and takes players the team is not able to adapt to the new managers way of playing style.

Lets not forget we did not win promotion from the Championship in style, we crept through the back door and was very lucky to win the playoffs.

From what I have seen of Big Sam in tv interviews he has a very unique style which is to talk as much as you can so that the interviewer is unable to ask all of their questions in the allotted time. He also lights up when the team have kept a clean sheet, which don't get me wrong its always good to keep a clean sheet, but not at the expense of not scoring yourself, he would be happy with 38 draws in a season.

Since the injury to Carroll, it seems like he is trying to not show Sakho and Valencia in the best form by playing them out of position.

In recent matches I think some of his decision s have caused us results i.e. taking off Noble.

If we take a look at the Sunderland match
1. Why only one Striker - We are at home and they have a shaky defence
2. Why play Song? He is always caught with the ball, always out of position and does not seem that bothered
3. Why play Jarvis? he has not done anything in recent games he has played
4. Why not play a kid as centre half and have Kouyate play in his favoured position - Is this just another reason so Nolan can play.

Another thing to note is why give Amalfitano a new contract and bring in Nene on loan if you are not going to select them from the start, or is this just showing the attitude of Sam, that I did not bring them in and I did not give them new contracts so therefore I will not pick them.

I fully understand why the board have not sacked him, what's the point of paying out a compensation when his contract runs out end of the season. If we do want to progress as a club then we need to bring in a manager who can play a style which suits the players he has, and a manager who can attract exciting European and World players, this currently seems to handled by the board, who I must say are doing a fantastic job with the club. They have a vision for the future of the club and I prey that Big Sam is not part of that, but I wish him all the best with whatever Championship club or yearly relegation battle club he decides to join
