Finance notwithstanding, Giroud (34) or King (28)?

Wherever Giroud goes he will only be a bit part player, he’ll either start a game and be subbed after an hour or he’ll start as sub, but he’s got huge experience in the prem but he’s not the quickest, King has got a bit more pace and younger, therefore we can get an established front line for quite a few seasons, how long would Giroud be with us, would it be until the end of the season or maybe the season after at most, we don’t really want to keep looking around for strikers, it’s a tough question but I would go for youth.

Me too between those 2, must go for the younger man for the reason stated by Stevie👍👍⚒⚒⚒⚒.

King would be a good back up to antonio meaning we could keep our same system and be effective, giroud is slower than haller wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, be good at a bigger club that has plenty of possession in advanced positions but terrible for a counter attacking team like us.

Chelms neither fit into the system moyes is using, we have one striker that's a square peg in a round hole no point in buying another undoubtedly on massive wages aswell.

How much could we get King for, Bournemouth turned down £13m from us in the summer but he’s only going to have 6 months of his contract left come January, so Bournemouth could’ve shot them selves in the foot as we could get him for less surely, £8-£9m, what do you think?

King is not an unreasonable back up for Antonio, but any forward who is worth their salt will think twice before coming to us as a back up, unless they have the ability to play wide, or in the hole. They have to know that if Antonio is fit, he starts.

We’re already awash with wingers, if you put the following in that category:

Bowen, Yarmo, Fornals, Lanzini, Benrahma, Masuaku, Holland, Anderson etc

Moyse has made his system successful and he is unlikely to change from it to accommodate two up front.

With the Haller experiment not currently working, Moyse is between a rock and a hard place if he wants to recruit a high quality striker.

Giroud for me over King. He’s done it at the top, plus Moyes likes 1 up top - he can also hold the ball up, therefore, he’ll be able bring our midfield into play. He scores as well.
