Just returning from tonight's game. Thought we were outstanding. EVERY player gave everything and our tactics were correct. One minus was the officials, thought they were incredibly poor.

Everyone agrees that this tie was lost as a result of our awful tactics in Leverkusen and our failure to strengthen in the last transfer window Mike.

I thought the players were magnificient tonight and with a little more luck and better officiating the result could have been so different. Such a shame that we died off in the second half, but, that's through a combination of the smallest and eldest squad and poor recruitment. And so, the rebuild begins. Sullivan and Co need to take a long hard look at themselves, then see how other successful clubs are run and adapt a similar model. Take a Look at the Leverkusen's. They were just another German team not long ago, but, proper, successful recruitment has brought them to where they are now. Forget all this "Will Moyes stay or won;t he"? We've had a taste of success and WE LIKE IT. If we want to move on and be a truly year in year out Trophy winning Team, then things have to change starting with the manager

Over the 2 legs the players gave everything. I am not concerned about transfer windows - that is another subject. I am talking about last night and last week. Players can hold their heads up high. Regarding the tactics last week - they worked for 85 minutes.

I think your missing the point Brooking! I think Daisy is trying to say "we ran out of steam" because we simply didn't have any quality players to bring on when we needed fresh legs. AND, I think Tin was referring to "IRONSMIKE"!

The Question being asked by all my family, friends and fellow supporters is "Why don't we play like that all the time"?

Why does Moyes Insist on this "Lets sit back and try and hurt them on the break" when we can, when given the reigns have a real go at top teams.

Why is it we go to Liverpool, United, Arsenal, City etc and we park the bus when we have players who can hurt clubs?

Why did he set us up in the first leg to sit back and defend

Brooking10, Agree with you, was never a big fan of either Benny or Fornals but would have been better than who we bought on last night as subs!
We were magnificent in the first half, every one outstanding, obvious we couldn’t carry on playing with the same intensity for 90mins!
Antonio’s magnificent header from Bowen’s whipped in beautiful cross was truly electrifying, one of the best seen at the Stadium imo especially in such a crucial game and expectation! Well done one and all. COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

But the problem is that games are 90 minutes long, not 85, and the idea of successful tactics is to score goals as well as stop them! Basic.
