As someone who was at Goodison let me tell you this! 3-1 flattered us and the 1st half performance was atrocious.Areola was outstanding, Alverez held the midfield together and Kudus always looked a menace! But make no mistake this performance was in no way brilliant! Yes 6 points in a week is a bonus

I was not there. I listened to the match on the radio, so I cannot say how we played. I did watch the highlights however, and just from those and the radio coverage, it struck me there were two real high points. Areola's performance and the Soucek goal. These are both down to individual skill and nothing to do with tactics.

Moyes has just got lucky (again) picking up 6 points against teams who haven't won in months! Areola won us the match against Everton which says everything you need to know! Yes Soucek scored a worldie and Yes Alverez scored on the break but the performance as it always is under Moyes was defensively minded crap with a sprinkling of goldust.

Dicksy1973, What a dedicated supporter you are to our club &all the other travelling supporters, assuming you are not a Merseyside man and are a Southerner? ?You saw it as we heard it on Radio, getting battered with Areola our saviour! To travel all that way knowing the defensive rubbish you have to sit through?, costing stupid money, but at least you saw the win, hopefully you didn’t leave early at 1-1 to avoid the crowds??
So you saw the 2 great goals in extra time, well that was some smash n grab, Dyche must have been ?along with all the scousers!

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan to be honest Chelmsford, hes a decent mid table manager for me and im afraid his style of football will always limit a team who have higher expectations mate, most of our fanbase could not wait to get rid of him to be honest as he had a defeatist attitude against the bigger teams which he described as taking a "knife to a gunfight", kudos to him though for winning the europa with you but i imagine you will see it as a long hard slog the longer he is there, this is not bitterness on my part just an honest view of how limited i think he is and how uninspiring the football he plays is, but good luck for the rest of the season..
