Well 4 days to go in this window, , and only the one signing so far, We have been associated with masses of players, BUT doesn't look good at present with each target melting away, we should do much better than this, I expected. Three in 2/3 out, even with Steidten we seem slow and indecisive, our player shortage was transparent long before January 1st, and I thought we would have had couple of signatures before mid January, we need a lot of changes and it cannot all be done in summer window, maybe someone else can come in, keep fingers crossed, that's it

Steidten is excellent at what he does. I expect the problem is elsewhere.

Absolutely agree. This has got MOYES and SULLIVAN written all over it. And your right Joyful. WE, as fans can all see where our strengths and weaknesses are and yet, we never do anything about it? WHY? Well, its first and foremost David Moyes Job to tell the board who or what he needs.

This is my main gripe with the Phillips loan. Personal feelings aside that I don't rate him, I just don't see why 29 days into a window he is our only signing.

If we had already filled much more urgent positions and he had come a available last knockings I might of seen the sense.

This whole window just stinks of Moyes still having the major say on incomings and steidten banging his head against the wall. I suspect it will all come to a head at the end of the season and we will see who eventually wins out.

It's like I said in another post. We're sitting 6th in the PL so there is absolutely no pressure on Sullivan to splash the cash.

He doesn't give a monkeys that the quality of football served up is astonishingly turgid and that the squad is wafer thin and devoid of genuine PL quality once we get past the 1st XI - what matters to him is the fact relegation is not a worry this season, so his hands can stay resolutely out of his pockets.

As for Phillips, he's a decent enough player and is a definate improvement on Soucek. Unfortunately we all know that he wasn't signed to replace Soucek.

If Moyes really does put Phillips in for Alvarez and continues to start Soucek, I shall laugh and scoff unmercifully at any and all future posts that comment positively on his managerial abilities.

BILLY? I think we all now know about MOYES very limited management capabilities and unfortunately we are stuck with him. Clearly its him pulling the strings this window. Do we really need another midfielder? NO, but he has been after phillips for a long time so are we surprised. How many more times can we be involved in deals for players and for one reason or another the deal falls flat? How does this always happen to WEST HAM? Its far too often to be coincidence
