Guys, I know a few of us was talking about the goalkeeper position, given Fabs age and that a few mistakes started to creep into his game last season, I've just read that Stoke would be willing to sell Butland for £8 to £10m would this be a good buy, or is it worth keeping an eye on Pickfords position at Everton, there both a good age for a goalkeeper to be in the team for a good while, just thought I'd post it to see what you think?

Stevie, Could you seriously see Everton letting Pickford go for anywhere near a fee we would be willing to pay? Supposedly Ancelloti is not to happy with him or so the rumour mill quotes? I am one that thinks that as much as I really rated Fab, he is on the decline unfortunately and think we need a new number 1? Possibly the most difficult position to choose in a team? As I always say, it’s not who we would like, it’s who might be available and does DM see that position as one of the priorities?

Wouldn't touch either of them. Pickford is a liability and Butland has been at Stoke since they were relegated for a reason.

Stick with Fabianski. Been brilliant for us. Easily one of the best in the division.

Pickford is not that good a goalie I personally would not want him Arleti has joined Celtic paper rumour he was on 60 k a week took a pay cut if it’s true that’s ridiculous we have far to many option in midfield DM will need to try and move few on find some defensive cover and maybe someone up front.

the way i see it we won't bring anyone in unless we unload and with the wages they are currently on at WH who will want to pay top prices and wages for players who cannot get into a side that finished close to the bottom of the Prem.
What do u lads think?

I did mention Ajeti to Celtic a couple of weeks ago as heard from someone in Glasgow that there were moves. Did think they were only going to loan with option to buy, but good that it has gone through as don't think he had a future at West Ham or in the EPL.

Bid John, I agree that shipping players out will prove very difficult unless they are allowed to go cut price. S&G would hate that.

I come back to a point I have made before - whilst it’s always exciting to dream about the talent that COULD come to us in any window, how negative would any of us be about starting next season with the same team that finished the last one.

We can all point to areas we would love to strengthen and all give our views on who we’d like to see come in, but we have to be realistic and with no money in the kitty, plus the default on Haller payments, we simply can’t expect too much.
