Well it's pretty clear coufals legs are gone, soucek is terrible and we need a steady back 4. Full back areas are always where we struggle so finally do something.

And what amazes me is moyes persists with both of them even though he can see they are shadows of the players they were

Ive heard we are interested in signing C-3PO and R2D2 as MOYES is only interested in robots that are programed to go up and down the pitch like clockwork, hes lacking in abilty to fit flair players in to his system,i see him constantly putting 2 fingers up insinuating to sit in front of the back four he prefers players like lee cattermole and robbie savage the reason i'm mentioning old players as that's where DM is stuck in how can BENNY be benched AGAIN and DOWNES not starting i get he's young but he ain't a 18 or 19 look at ONANA at EVERTON if we signed him he wouldn't have started a game for us yet and he ain't being wrapped in cotton wool if your good enough your old enough,i wonder how long it is before PAQUETA is dropped as its coming trust me.

Surely the owners must be watching the same matches as us and thinking, “Why did we spend all that money if our manager is still fielding the same players as last season?” Downes must be wondering why he’s a glorified boot boy. Cresswell is past his best. Coufal isn’t even a shadow of his former self. Soucek needs to be dropped. Johnson is inconsistent. Rice is being played out of position. Benrahma is not flavour of the month and his confidence has suffered as a result. Antonio is not a striker. Lanzini is anonymous every time he plays. Too much is expected of Bowen. This is the result of the Moyes method. The board should sack him now and replace him with a manager who can handle talented players and has some fresh attacking ideas instead of dreaming about spending years at Goodison Park where absolutely nothing was achieved or won. If this club has real ambition to develop, it needs to get shot of a manager who is living in the past and dreaming of imaginary glory which never actually happened.

Bang on tinlegs the board won't get rid of him as he keeps sneaking results against poor sides.

Unfortunately Moyes is a manager of the past and as such his players are pigeon holed into positions. Players like Paqueta will never thrive in this West Ham team under Moyes because he is not allowed to. He has a role to fill and that's it which is a shame because he is a class act.

He’s destroyed Benrahma. He’s destroyed Soucek by playing him in a more defensive role in order to push Rice forward. He’s persisted with trying to turn Antonio into a striker - clearly a role he’s not suited to. He’s held Scamacca back and doesn’t give Paqueta the freedom he so clearly craves. Coufal and Cresswell are washed up, but he persists with starting them. He’s even saying he didn’t want to sell Diop! Short of wearing a hat with “NO IDEAS” in neon lights emblazoned across the front of it, what does it take for the owners to wake up and look further than over the edge of their wallets? They spend millions on new players, but refuse to pay off the football idiot they have as head coach.

Soucek is not a poor player. He is a player being played out of position to accommodate Rice. Soucek is a FAR superior attacking central midfielder than Rice. Yet DM has switched players to satisfy Rice’s ego. Rice is better at tidying up the central area as a CDM. Once these players are switched to the positions they played 2.5 years back 1. They will play better 2. The team will be better offensively.

To be honest, I think Soucek was a better option to try as a centre forward than Antonio. He was lethal in the air and with the right coaching, who knows, we might have seen another Arnie.

Tin that is good common sense and i did suggest it last season. Playing to one's strengths would include getting Tomas near the goal net!
