Reality check, should be taking place next week at WH, when they have to just stop making any calls or enquiries, for players that are way, way above , our CURRENT circumstances, , whilst you can ignore the silly suggestions, of the board stooges, and next seasons pre purchases of seasons tickets, etc etc, WH just cannot compete, with some other clubs, Spurs just for an example are planning to spend £200 m plus on just four players, Cunha, Gittens, Dibling are three of them, Macauley will be made more important as time moves on WH could get an opportunity here, whilst, teams like Tottenham, and Man utd are prepared, to spend ever more, mad money to reclaim their so called divine right to be at the top of the league, it opens a back door, for WH, to look at better value players, that those two clubs think, are not suited to their high aspirations, WH must use brains instead of financial brawn

"WH must use brains" god help us.
As usual we are pleading poverty again, but maybe the poor spending has finally caught up to us.
Surely Sullivan can't be that inept he'd put us in a position we have that little to spend when we need arguably one of our biggest rebuilds?
Fortunately there are some good players out or contract,
Know a lot of people myself included want us to sign a lot of younger players, but we definitely need some players with prem experience if we end up with about 10-12 players leaving so maybe one of those players from city if we can get for a decent wage shouldn't be sniffed at.
As for Gomes and Tottenham offering a lot more, I think where we have an advantage is how much game time he'll get walks into our team at present.

As long as we are sensible and shop around, no reason why we can't build a decent squad in the summer. We have players coming through youth and back from loan so I'm really hopeful

Mac, little or no chance on Emegha, Strasbourg owned by Chelsea, as a sister club, we have been down that road twice In January, next time if that situation arises WH will do their homework beforehand, not during an attempted purchase

It's how West Ham have always worked under Sullivan. We Ponder, Mull, Consider and then show interest and then we have talks and make bids for some unseen reason to suddenly pop up and scupper the deal!
