I understand that Potter is talking with Sullivan and Brady next week, I think he's realised the situation is far worse than, he originally Believed, he's trying every combination possible, but can't get a tune out of this squad He's a nice guy seriously understands tactics, but he can't play people he hasn't got NOW if I was him, I would lay it on the line, that he will need to change half the squad at seasons end, and he will need large financial support, and if he doesn't get it, the team will likely be relegated , letSullivan chew on that, relegation would halve the value of the club, then the alarm bells start ringing, .after what I saw today, we are no better than the bottom three, just 10 points in front of them, that can soon evaporate, we play Leicester next week, lose that and the gaps closing, there's a lot of games to play, and we can get caught

They had the opportunity in January to do something but they didn't. Every single west ham fan with any knowledge knows where the problems lie but nothing gets done. We need legs in midfield. Look at Bournemouth, all young low to the ground players that are fit.

Meeting woth Sullivan and Brady? If I was him I'd want serious backing in the summer

Sorry mate but that is absolute rubbish. No better, just a 10 point gap? That is a massive gap for the bottom 3 to make up. The bottom 3 have 9 wins this season between them to West Ham’s 7.

It’s pure guesswork what he’s going to say in that meeting, but I doubt he’s going to ask for half the squad to be turned over (that’s just you projecting what you’d like to happen) .

He needs to do what no other manager has done and drop permanently Soucek, Alvarez, Paqueta, kudus, Emerson and mavropanos. Replace them with the tea lady, ball boys etc but do something different because these players are just not good enough or consistent enough.

That pass across our front line yesterday to the Brentford player by Paqueta was scandalous

Emerson and mavropanos were torn apart. Soucek and alvarez were running in glue.

Credit to potter he changed things at half time but we could easily have Been 4-0 down. The players don't care and you can see it

Irons 87, might be better, if you go to the meeting instead of Potter, as obviously you don’t think, that much change is needed, maybe you think 27 points is enough to stay up? I don’t know mate, but if you do? You could be in for a nasty shock, Leicester and Ipswich, yes agreed, they are poor sides, but they are playing with a lot more heart and conviction, than we are, and that counts for something, I havnt seen much conviction from WH, have you? and if your relying on other sides continually losing to keep WH up, what does that say about your club, not being rude, to you at all, we are all WH supporters, I know what I have seen recently, and we must be watching different games, we were unbelievably lucky in a few games, Fulham and Man U just to name two, otherwise we wouldn’t have that 10 point gap,

Yesterday was really poor. And we are going to have a few more half’s like yesterday’s 1st.
We are a few transfer windows out of sync, and this is not a quick turnaround.
Lots of talk stating the obvious, let’s all be positive get behind Potter for the next few years.

We all know footballing decisions can be changed in a heartbeat.

Joyful mate, no issue with you thinking mass changes are needed (they are in most instances) . I just think you’re going over the top to say WHU are in a relegation fight when the other teams are so much worse.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, if you look at Potter’s teams historically they take at least a season to truly adapt to his tactics.

I do think there’s a fantastic nucleus there for a team (Kudus, Paqueta, Bowen, Summerville, AWB, Ferguson) .

Patience is needed, result wasn’t good but 2nd half performance much more like it and the signs off proper football are there in glimpses

Irons 87, sorry again, but your nucleus, is at present I’ll founded, Ferguson is on loan, will he be bought! Who knows, ? Paqueta, could be banned by next September, and Kudus has intimated he wants to leave, so not quite what it may seem, I take on board your general optimism, it’s always appreciated, My thoughts are a little different, , I’m not an optimist, nor a pessimist, but a realist

Hopefully we will try a few academy players otherwise what is the point of having an academy

I’m a realist/optimist and genuinely think we’ll survive this season and that Potter will prove to be a good manager for us moving forward however Saturdays first half performance was about as bad as it gets. Our Goalkeeper and VAR actually kept us in the game. Alvarez and Souchek in the middle were appalling and both look as if they are running through deep mud, they are soooo slow! Alvarez then tries to trip his man up out of frustration right on the edge of the box, what is that all about?! Our defence is constantly being battered because the midfielders in front of them offer them no protection whatsoever. Scoring is also proving a problem as Kudus, Pacqueta and Bowen all struggle to pass to each other. They all keep the ball too long. Pacqueta has some sort of problem when playing at home and when he’s bad he’s really bad. That square ball across to the Brentford player was one of many that he has done and he doesn’t learn. We will be a much better team when he moves on! As for next season I can only see the following players starting the first game as the rest will be released or sold and thats:

Areola
AWB
Kilman
Scarles
Bowen
Summerville

Been involved with this debate before, our under 21;s on most days will give
Most teams in division 2 a game, and with a fair wind some league 1 teams as well, that’s where it ends, the game has changed. The gaps between leagues has got greater, most of our lads, finish up playing lower league football, for that reason, if we can find one or two , here and there it’s worth it, money wise to have an academy, Scarles is the current example, unfortunately there won’t be many // all the premier sides, no matter how much they throw at it, have the same issue, the days when the WH team, we’re all local lads are long over, that’s why the world is being scoured for talent, WH are bringing in young Cummings for 350 k in the hope he will become a real striker in the future, it’s peanuts in football terms in the hope one day he will become a top player that’s how the game is evolving

Dabber spot on mate, you were watching the same game as me, Plus your nucleus is also on the money, unfortunately that is what Potter has to face up to, it’s a mammoth task, and all those who disagree, to be honest, I don’t know what their watching, I’ve watched Potts a couple of times, he’s coming on, but he’s a bit on the slow side, Earthy I’m not sure about, Orford, not quite ready for me, they can be introduced, but not first team 11., starters Vast Majority of the blame for this is at Sullivans door, he can find whatever scapegoats he chooses, but he’s going have to come up with the funds, he knows it, otherwise, , we will be relegated next season, if we get away with it now
