I do not understand why we are not all over the Jonathan David situation, he was offered to us 3 months ago, he's available for 10 m which is small beer, in todays football world, he's a class International who's true value is probably , 40 m he's available in summer for free , but we are looking at Latte Lath for the same money! Perhaps some of you can help me out here, sure the championship player, would get less wages, but he's not in David's class! Sometimes it's hard to fathom out the thinking at WH

Didn't David want a big sign on fee? Which is something he would get if he goes for a free in the summer? I heard this was part of the reason we didn't go for him asking to much money as a sign on despite him being available at a reduced price.

Yes Al 3m sign on fee asked, but can be spread over wages (100 k) a week or can be discussed, that’s if he would come to WH, ? no one’s in for him at present, if you want to be a club at the top end of the table, these are the deals, that are needed ….we are scraping around and along with the fixture list not great, we need 15/17 points, doesn’t sound a lot,

I’m sorry but let’s be brutally honest why would any player worth his salt want to come to a dreadfully run club like ours. Especially a striker as we have managed to have Chicharito, Haller and Scamacca who ithink we’re all good strikers but the way we set up they never got a sniff. They have been decent players before coming to us and some were after too

Should have been done in the Summer, I doubt he'd come now anyway. I do wonder if another hammering against city could see lopetegui go. Save new manager bounce for villa, Fulham Palace, could see us build a bit of momentum in more winnable games.

Potter with a point to prove could suit everyone and he's not scared to give youth a chance. We are desperate in midfield new signing and Orford given an minutes could help transform our weak midfield.

It’s ludicrous that we’re talking about Jonathan David. If he was so cheap and capable of taking clubs to the next level, where are all the other offers from all the other clubs across Europe.
Come on guys…. Let’s engage our common sense before we engage in criticism of our club. Sullivan gave out £150mill to Steidten and Lopetegui who (in my opinion) apart from Wan Bissaka and Summervill was wasted.

Many Other clubs including Liverpool, want David on a free, top clubs are not under pressure, for strikers as we are, they will be happy to wait, get him for nothing, and give him a fee to sign on, the Situation at WH is entirely different, desperation is the name of the game, so it becomes an opportunity to offer Lille low money, Instead of them getting nothing in the summer, and pay a fee for a sign on
