We've had two weeks since our last prem game to get a defender or two in, I really don't know what they're waiting for our defence is shocking we're going to have to score at least two goals away at spurs as we can't keep a clean sheet, this is the area that should've been sorted out first, so it looks like we're going to have to go with Todibo and Kilman tomorrow as Mav is injured.

Apparently, Sullivan has already given up. Allegedly, he said, when asked about more incomings, “What’s the point? We’re already down.” If that is true, he won’t agree to any further purchases until our outlay for the two Mendes players at the start has been covered. We really are in sh*t street.

I don't believe a word of that Tin, what manager in their right mind would say that in public, especially after spending near 50m a week ago. It's hard for any team in our position to sign players unless they're offered ridiculous wages and relegation clauses. More than likely we'll end up with a couple of loans or players after one last big pay day

Ultimately i think its a realisation we all need to come to. I do not see the bottom 3 changing. Our best bet would be to start planning ahead for next season, the championship is a hard league to get out of. We need to make the decisions on who the head coach/manager will be, how we plan to play and which players will stay around.
Rather than wasting 15min cameos on Rodriguez to do jack with, give those minutes to players who will be in the squad next season (kante for example)

Ageeed skaman i see us bringing in a few loans towards end of window but don't see them spending more unless they move on Paqueta.
Only thing i will disagree with is your statement regarding 50mil spent, although this is correct, they have moved on Fullkrugs wage already and cashed in on Guilherme so the actual outlay is a lot less than 50mil and more likely around 20. If they move on Paqueta and don't spend another penny then it shows their ambition

Yeah i get that Chris but if Sullivan was resigned to thinking we're going down then he wouldn't have spent the money, it would've gone in his back pocket. Taty's wages covers Fullkrugs, then there's Pablos wages.
Guilherme only went for 17m so we'll see about 4 of that for the first year. Still more out than in. I can't see them replacing Paqueta with a big signing when Fernandes and Pablo can play in his position.

Paqueta money has to go on a CB, midfield i think we are good.

Skaman, it wasn’t the manager who allegedly said that. It was the chairman, and it was allegedly a leak from the boardroom, not in public. I have no idea if it’s true, but I wouldn’t put it past the worm Sullivan. I can understand what Hammer-D is saying.
If we are sinking, better to go down with a fight than a whimper. If, as it seems, we are doomed, with our club debts and no traditional home, I fear a “rebuild” might just be pie-in-the-sky. But you can be sure the rats in the boardroom will desert the sinking ship!

You can be sure that any money for Paqueta will go towards covering the near £50 milliion spent on the two Mendes players, Taty and Pablo.
