The question has to be asked:
Why on earth has he taken Wilson off so early? It’s changed the game, and not for the better.

The Midas touch? More like the Titanic touch! He’s cost us points by his changes. Unbelievable. From a commanding position we are struggling to hold on.

Couldn’t agree more TL, we were in control until that decision. Nuno cost us the 2 points today but thank god for Areola!

Any other thoughts from posters on this?
Is there any point in us looking for a supposed goal scorer / Striker when Wilson scores 2 good goals, then fxxxxxxx Nuno takes him off???does that man know how to manage, surprised he didn’t replace Areola for having such a good name! I now believe anybody almost with knowledge could manage, I am now very unhappy with his management!
Forget signing potential goal scorers while Nuno
is there as he subs them when they do what they’ve been bought for ????out out out Nuno unless you change tactics??⚒⚒⚒

IMO that’s a little bit of an over reaction. Buying a player like Wilson who by all accounts can’t last 90 minutes is not the best idea, but in fairness he has done far better than I suspected he would. He’s already scored more than most, of previous strikers when you take into account the amount of minutes on the pitch. I didn’t see the game but by the highlights you (Chelmsford, ) and everyone else are correct that decision was dreadful. But much of that is due to bringing on a far inferior player like Souchek who has zero ability at holding the ball up. But he scores lots of one yard tap ins. It is definitely a downside in Nuno’s game plan that will go ultra defensive once in the lead and maybe he should learn the attack is often the best form of defence.

Chelmsford,
You make a very good point. I believe Nuno has personally cost us 8 points so far by his reckless team selections / tactics / substitutions. One minute we think he’s hit the right formula, and then he craps himself and tries to close up shop, with dire consequences. By all accounts, this was a habit he had at Leeds and Forest, much to the chagrin of those clubs’ supporters. I haven’t spoken to Spurs supporters. A leopard never changes it’s spots. It seems we have a coach who has no nerve, despite the fact he’s a very nice bloke!

Not Leeds. Of course I meant Wolves! It’s my age (as you will understand, Chelmsford! ?)

Hammer-D, not an over reaction. at all imo. We didn’t buy Wilson he was free transfer to my knowledge, but does it matter posters have been repeatedly saying striker, striker, then we get a guy no matter about his age who goes and starts scoring then Nuno brings him off?? both goals were terrific, try to watch if you haven’t seen them, we paid £17m for Fulkrug who can’t wait to get away and isn’t one bit interested, Wilson wants to get to 100 goals (92now) and back into the England squad so is ambitious even at his age until others come along!
I saw the game live, 2-0 such a dangerous lead and if he doesn’t know that he bloody well should, 3-0 yes then maybe relax a little! He bought on Soucek etc because we were getting battered after Wilson come off, it was one way traffic, it was coming all the time, then clown Kilman plays hand tennis in the area, very clever?which lit the fire for B’mouth, they smelt blood? We’re going nowhere with Nuno, as TL says a Leopard doesn’t change his spots! Out out asap! Sorry Dab if you don’t agree mate, but all about opinions! ⚒⚒⚒

I admit I wasn’t happy with the acquisition of Wilson, but there’s now no doubting he is a confirmed striker of quality. Those two goals yesterday were a pleasure to watch, and the second was a piece of artistry. The way he brought the ball down on his chest and hooked it goalwards was nothing short of sublime. To then drag him off and replace him up front with Soucek was criminal, and it showed. Nuno simply threw his hands up. A disastrous decision which Bournemouth took full advantage of. The players weren’t to blame, and those who are saying, “we would have happily taken a point before KO” are ignoring the fact that we were comfortably on our way to all three points. Then Nuno simply bottled it and threw away our advantage. Unforgivable stupidity.
