Very happy with that, team played very well, we had a couple of great chances we failed to convert but everybody gave it their all we can't complain about that very definite improvement no question especially against Chelsea. IRONMIKE.

Any in depth news on Rice contract. we absolutely can't let this lad go in Jan because DGS are refusing to pay what his worth, I read in one of the tabloids other clubs are starting to take note who would probably offer his what his worth, We must tie him down quickly and move forward, I hate this doubt when we have homegrown coming through.

There’s no definite news on Rice I am quite surprised it’s even got this far, it must be resolved and everybodys beginning to question this now, , the media have just so far stirred things up, but it’s common sense that sooner rather than later there’s going to be a serious enquiry for him, which hasn’t occurred as yet IRONMIKE.

Having watched Rice over the last 2 years including under 23 games it was pretty obvious that he was going to be special I posted back at the end of last season that he has about the same experience as Diop and therefore, taking into account his performances, he has to be worth at least what Diop is being paid and I believe that is £50k.

His contract runs till 2021 so no rush and if he does turn down a new contract that’s fair then let him go I’m fed up with players who are on stupid money thinking they are bigger than the club I’m not saying RICE does but if given good money and refuses then he thinks he’s bigger than the club then sell him simple as that and get 40 million that’s what he’s worth in todays market possibly more.
