If true, that might unsettle Arnie, though MP’s transfer business so far ought to encourage him to think there’s a project worth doing with us.

And no thanks to Welbeck - he’s another nearly good player and we’re moving beyond that.

Hi Mike - First post on your site, just wanted to say, thanks for sharing your knowledge.

It would be a real shame if we ended up selling Arnie, but at the end of the day it's a business. Part of that is knowing the best time to sell your assets. To judge if it's a good deal we need to see how much he gets sold for.

Saying no to Welbeck? We've only 2 strikers currently fit/ good enough at the club and one of them ain't really even a striker! Welbeck's a better payer than his Arsenal time has shown. But then they keep marooning him out on the wing. Played as a CF he'll score plenty.

Wellbeck is extremely underated and i would jump at the chance to link up again with wilshire.

Welbeck is a forward who struggles to finish most of his chances, with the new boys who have arrived i doubt he would get in our team more suited to a team like palace.

In 40 apperances for ENGLAND wellbeck has scored 16 goals not bad hey.

If Manchester United have registered their interest is Arnautovic as you suggest Ironmike, I would be suspicious that this has been on the cards for months which is why West Ham have been spending money and bringing in players so willingly. Seems that all of the transfers the club have made would have been done to soften the blow when they sell Arnie. If this is indeed the case, clearly we have been duped right? Lift the fans just to drop them again. Without Arnie, creativity in the middle of the park is pointless.

It's never been the case that one man makes a team!
