I don't really care what we do but MP has to have seen what a sham our defence and midfield is and has to be making changes. NOBLE has had it in the premier league and sentimentality has no place and cannot be carried by any team. His time has come and gone much like his legs. A dedicated servant who I am afraid must see out his days in a lower league. Unfortunately the same has to be said for Zabaletta who has also now seen the best days of his career behind him. Their is no room or the time and luxury to carry players anymore and therefore its time to be ruthless and drop to the reserves those we cannot get rid of. Hindsight is a fine thing, but we HAD to get at least one CDM in the transfer window and we didn't. The defence looks vulnerable when players run at us and there is no tackling from anyone. TIME FOR CHANGE and don't spare the tears.

1.) 22 Aug 2018 18:48:24
Technically not a rumour?

Definitely a fact

2.) 23 Aug 2018 01:20:40
your absolutely bang on phil I've been saying this for a couple of seasons regarding NOBLE mate and been told he's top of the stats in everything he does which is very little and if he starts saturday then the worlds gone mad i mean MP has, the NOBLE lovers phil i seen haven't commented for a week or two gone to eat some pie with a humble filling imo he was finished in hippos tenure and while it was great signing the flair players i was always concerned about not filling the midfield we have been crying out for two athletes in cm who can also play football when i stated you needed PACE in midfield a few people piped up and said PIRLO wasnt quick but they was missing the point i wasnt on about pace to go by people but merely saying to get up and down the pitch which NOBLE hasn't got and has never had PHIL i am truly grateful what's he's done for west ham helping us win em nothing but give 100% which if someone paid me 50,000 a week that's the least you should do at least DICK TURPIN wore a mask, my mate got 5 years for fraud NOBLE hasn't been sentenced yet but if he pleads not guilty hope he gets away with it like he has for the past 3 years but enough of my immaturity people but i will feel for DIOP if he's pitched in against ARSENAL but that's what he's paid good money for anyway i'd bring back FREDERICKS ANTONIO AND RICE to the matchday squad and drop NOBLE and SNODGRASS from it alltogether my team would be a 4-1-3-2 as follows FABIANSKI, FREDERICKS, BALBUENA, DIOP, OGBONNA, OBIANG, ANDERSON, WILSHIRE, YARMOLENKO, ARNAUTOVIC, ANTONIO what's your views phil. COYI.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 08:22:51
Couldn't agree more buddy. For too long players have been carried in this team based on who they are and not how they perform and its become comfortable for them to collect £50k a week and not be able to perform at the level required. I've not been convinced with the way any of the defenders have started this season so I'd shake it all up. Maybe start with a back 3? MP knows what he is doing so I have faith in him but not in some of the players. AC is another along for the nice fat easy cheque he can get and he should be on his way also. Bring in Holland and Fredericks on the right. I'd also drop Antonio who is like a headless chicken and start Perez on the right, Matsuaku is another liability and the sooner we get cresswell back the better. Clearly in the next window we need CDM and a left back. All in all, things have to change and NOW.

4.) 23 Aug 2018 11:21:17
I wonder how much better our defenders would look with a quality CDM or two in front of them. Aside from the Callum Wilson goal that really was just comic from all involved our defence is overworked due to a lack of CDM.

5.) 23 Aug 2018 12:36:40
YEP, agreed again but we were linked with about 50 of them during the window and we didn't take advantage of it. Perhaps IRONMIKE can shed some light as to why not when it was a glaring need after losing KOUYATE (No great loss there)

6.) 25 Aug 2018 21:56:51
Not long been back just watched the game it's going to take DIOP AND BALBUENA TIME to gel but we have to stick with them because they will be ok when they've adapted to life in premier league trust me i'm very optimistic. COYI.

7.) 26 Aug 2018 11:51:39
I see Thomas REPKA has been given a stay at HMP in the CZECH REPUBLIC for bashing his Porn star wife I wonder did Sully aquire her for him as part of the deal to sign him given his connections in the industry but we need fighting qualitys but hitting a women is the lowest of the low and he was lucky to just get that he should have got 10 years.

08 Aug 2018 16:14:46
Tabloids are reporting that the days are numbered for a number of our players. Seems Kouyate has gone, Fernandez is going as is Hughill and Byram and if he wasn't injured AC would be gone also.

1.) 08 Aug 2018 16:32:45
Hugill is officially loaned out to Boro now, hopefully he has a decent season and they want to sign him this time next year!

2.) 08 Aug 2018 16:32:48
We didn’t need the tabloids to confirm that though did we Phil. I think we knew that already. 😁.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 18:42:10
Encouraging to hear that Carroll will also be on his way.

06 Aug 2018 14:01:41
It seems we may well have wrapped up a deal for Lucas Perez from Arsenal for the princely sum of £4m. Can you believe £4m? Put this into context and Hughill was £9m and Perez is better than him. Even in a poor Deportivo team last season he scored 9 times :-) very happy with this signing and great business all round. Now selfishly we need this holding midfielder.

1.) 06 Aug 2018 14:13:40
Agree Phil, it's a no brainier for that money.

2.) 06 Aug 2018 16:46:56
i would be asking them how much they want for young rob holding aswell
then as you say just the holding midfielder we desperately need and bernard on a free as the cherry on top of the cake.

14 Jun 2018 12:40:29
I hope we do but wisely because the fixture list just released and we got horrible start away at Liverpool and arsenal with home fame between

1.) 14 Jun 2018 13:30:04
You will beat those dirty reds and I don't understand why everyone is daunted at going to anfield it's built up by sky and bt sport as being the ground with the best atmosphere but in reality once YNWA is finished the atmosphere like every stadium is poor and it's the away fans who make the noise.

08 May 2018 11:20:29
Reports suggest we've been scouting Dendoncker AGAIN. WTF for? Have we not seen enough of him. Here we go again.

1.) 08 May 2018 11:28:31
Hey Phil. are you ready for the crazy merry go round with us in the transfer market, its going to be the usual crap no doubt, but you never know it could be different this window.

We should know by the end of the day if Moyes has his 2 year contract, not my choice by a long shot but can understand the boards feeling and view on this. stability, stability and more stability, that's put Gold prediction of Champions league back by 5 years or so . :)

2.) 08 May 2018 12:01:03
Different it may be Seymour ( not feeling it though ) 😉, even more interesting is who is buying them and who for? What manger will it be :)

3.) 08 May 2018 13:00:30
Hi fella's

Here we go again with the same old summer merry go round full of promise and hope but with no real direction. I dread to think who we will buy over the summer cause I've heard some horror stories already.

Suffice to say, they can buy who they want cause I'm not wasting my hard earned money lining their pockets.

I will not nor will my son return to that ground until they powers that be have no more power.

The sooner we are bought the better and we got rid of those in charge.

I'm not a fan of Moyes BUT, he made some headway with rubbish players when BILIC Was incapable. What would happen if he had his own selected players? I say give him a chance to recruit players HE WANTS and then let's judge him.

4.) 08 May 2018 14:49:06
Problem is Moyes has not performed as well as Bilic: goals conceded up and less points per game (based only on this season)
I was absolutely gutted with his substitutions in the Stoke game and genuinely do not rate his tactical nous. Also, he had a chance to buy players in Jan (yes, I know what the board are like) but failed to get a defender or Midfielder and bought a Striker who he has used for 21 mins.
Honestly, if this is the 'genius' supposed to take us to the next level can see us getting relegated next year.

5.) 08 May 2018 16:06:05
Not sure I’ve ever heard him described as a genius glen :) not sure either that a genius is what we need . a magic man is nearer the mark lol lol.

6.) 08 May 2018 17:34:49
Err Bilic got 9 points from 11 league games and Moyes 31 from 25 - they don't compare - we would be lucky to have Moyes considering the owners interference and lack of funding.

7.) 08 May 2018 17:55:06
One thing Moyes should get credit for is getting the best out of Marko, something Bilic didn't do, and that's been the key factor in keeping us up. I'm convinced we would have gone down without his performance. I would worry what would happen to Marko's performances of he left and another manager came in who doesn't understand the player fully. For that reason I'd give Moyes another season at least. IF, and this is a huge if, Sullivan and gold do sell up, hopefully to someone who's willing to spalsh the cash abit more than the two Scrooges, is it not better to maintain some level of stability to keep us in the prem even if we don't reach the heights as we did in our last season at Upton Park until we can reorganise from the very top to bottom?

8.) 08 May 2018 20:24:33
Rumour is phil we are very close on ben yedder and martin Braithwaite;) hahaha.

9.) 09 May 2018 11:54:51
He he hilarious you should be the manager and work with the rest of the jokers pmsl must admit was funny.

10.) 09 May 2018 14:19:05
Spot on diggy about ARNAUTOVIC but I genuinely think any manager could as he was an established premiership player who just wasn't putting it in and thought he could be quarenteed a starting place if he was a youngster who MOYESgot playing I'd be more lean g towards him staying buy he's just so similar to hippo and I'd move heaven and earth to get EDDIE HOWE as he's preformed miracles continuing to keep AFC in the premier league on a shoestring budget. COYI.

Its fairly apparent that our biggest priority in the next window has to be left back and a CDM. What about Fabian Delph who did a great job at LB for city last season and ccan double up as midfielder. He is out of favour at City and could be just the person we want.

1.) 09 Oct 2018 09:17:38
I'd take that.

2.) 09 Oct 2018 12:45:03
That is a great shout that Phil, that would do nicely.

3.) 09 Oct 2018 15:14:27
I have seen that being reported elsewhere Phil.

4.) 09 Oct 2018 22:00:05
Nice idea mate. now I'm not sure. but are there any championship players to look at. I mean Madison did a fantastic job in coming up. surely there are more out there?

5.) 10 Oct 2018 07:58:03
Isn't he quite injury prone too?

{Ed001's Note - very. Sounds perfect signing for West Ham these days!}

6.) 11 Oct 2018 07:58:03
True ed but ouch lol.

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, couldn't resist.}

7.) 12 Oct 2018 13:17:33
I was thinking the same Ed but your spot on.

04 Oct 2018 12:22:53
It makes me laugh how the tabloids are reporting Andy Carroll is making good progress from his injury and may be back sooner than expected, and they report it like its supposed to be good news to us hammers fans! Who cares? He has had more than his fair share of chances and enough money out of our club. I say don't risk playing him because he will get another injury. get him fit and sell him and use the money wisely to strengthen.

1.) 04 Oct 2018 13:56:03
Totally agree. although I hear just the breeze of the wind hurts him. Wrap him up in bubble wrap he might make it through xmas.

2.) 04 Oct 2018 16:04:11
Unplayble when fit, but that is SO rare, and how does he fit MP's style. Maybe MP can fit him in somewhere, but if there is any doubt in that then IMO we should keep him fit and loan him to Newcastle, Burnley or Cardiff in Jan, they are desperate for someone to score goals and it covers SOME of his wages before he leaves. Barring a physical miracle, and MP fitting him in somewhere, he will be gone at end of season.
Cannot see him being bought in Jan as he will want his wages matched while he has a contract. Once he is out of contract he will have to take what he can get. Shame, i like Andy and appreciate what he can do, but his injuries present too much of a risk.

14 Sep 2018 21:13:07
I think we've all seen the importance of quality defensive midfielders who can break up play even as recent as Leicester winning the league with drink water and kante. Until we realise this we will always have the huge gaping holes in midfield for teams.

09 Jul 2018 16:24:18
I'd like to see us go for Lucas Perez who shouldn't cost the earth. In a poor Deportivo team he still managed 9 goals and numerous assists last season.

27 Jun 2018 13:06:53
West Ham apparently are interested in securing the signature of Brazilian midfielder Bernard. NOTE: that we are currently only interested as his contract runs out shortly and will be available on a free. Numerous other clubs are showing interest including Hull, Plymouth, Milton Keynes and Rotherham but the current favourites for his signature are Accrington Stanley who have offered 8 shineys and a Paul Gascoigne World Cup 1990 poster and a free box of KLEENEX. Sullivan is haggling to keep the Kleenex LMFAO.

2.) 28 Jun 2018 10:10:45
How true is it Mike that Wiltshire is in fernabache to sign for them I'd be amazed if he did totally the wrong move if you ask me.

3.) 29 Jun 2018 13:01:22
The person who disagreed read Mike's post as he's just confirmed it.

4.) 30 Jun 2018 12:42:40
About Wiltshire moving to Turkey as I said and someone disagreed with my post and Mike confirmed it as has Wiltshire team.

Antonio is dreadful. I'd be tempted to drop yarmolenko and play diangana if performances don't pick up. Matsuaku can't defend to save his life and cresswell ain't much better and with zabaletta planning to go to Italy I'd suggest we concentrate on full backs in the next window.

Question of course now is where does Wilshire fit in after his injury?

We look more organised and solid with 3 man midfield using Noble, Rice and obiang. I'd like to see us upgrade on Noble but I do wonder what's going to happen when Wilshire is fit again because its clearly not working with him in midfield.

Maybe we should have gotten Bielsa when we had the chance!

Agreed Mike. Antonio and Hernandez look shadows of former selves. Cresswell ain't much better as is Noble. Too much rubbish remaining. Every window we say it and this was no different. Glaring gaps and requirements which were not filled at CDM until last minute panic for Sanchez and full back where we were linked with a few full backs. I'd sell Antonio, Hernandez and Noble for the best deal I can get and use the money to start plugging holes with quality starting with two decent full backs and CDM.

Somebody who can put the ball in the back of the net with a free kick around the box would be nice. Two free kicks we had in very dangerous positions last night wasted by Anderson and Arnie. At least make the keeper work for God's sake.

Yep and we could have had him before he went to Leicester! I still want to know where Wilshire fits in when he is back and available because this 11 at the moment look compact, well drilled and a real threat on the break. Antonio is terrible and time to let him loose. Perez just needs more time, Sanchez is dreadful and I hope we start and see more and more of Fredericks as the season progresses cause he could be a real talent.

And with me recruiting there would be some serious changes. I'd adopt the klopp philosophy with fast front 3 supported by wing backs who can actually defend and 2 cdm covering the defence against quick counter attacks.
