As was mentioned by ed yesterday, we are at our wage maximum now so until we can reduce it, we are not in a position to buy anyone .

Can budgets not be adjusted? I am just wondering how we have apparently 50mil to spend but no manoeuvre on the wage front?

From what I believe, and I'm sure Ed or Mike can correct me if i'm wrong, your only aloud a certain percentage increase in wage totals every year to be within financial fair play rules. So even if you have 30m left to spend on transfers, if your wage bill is maxed out then you need to free up wage funds before buying anyone else, unless by some magical wonder they love West ham so much they will play for free 😂.

{Ed002's Note - The increase is limited to £7M per season for this year and next - unless additional "profit" arises from gate money or the sale of players - but not media revenue (which is where it comes from for nearly all PL sides).}

YES WH have the money but not the wage or space gaps, that's why Feghouli and hopefully Snodgrass have got to go IRONMIKE.

if a player goes on loan but we still pay a percentage of wages does this still come into the equation?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Does the selling of Fletcher not free up space to go get Gray?

Only if the numbers work fordy, I'd guess that gray would want higher wage than fletcher was on,

Cant see fletcher being on more than 15 - 25k a week? i'm probably wrong with the figures being chucked around these days.
