Morning All

Does anyone else get the impression that Moyes is more concerned about the CB and AM position rather than a striker, I just go the feeling that, he would not be overly worried if he failed to land one in this window,

As usual I got be way off the mark but I get the sense of maybe a false number 9 when Antonio gets injured or needs a rest!

Agreed, not sure what the thinking is? Our main priority this window had to be striker and we've been linked with every striker on the planet, but, nothing? I get the feeling we just want the cheapest bargain out there.

It was reported we were waiting later on in the window to get better value thinking clubs would lower the asking price with strikers being at a premium perhaps that's our thinking, that could easily back fire if clubs know how desperate we are for a striker.

The problem with the false 9 is its not like we have an abundance of players to choose from in attacking midfield especially with lanzini now dropping deeper.

I don't think moyes would be happy if we didn't get a striker and another attacking midfield in and to be honest I'd consider it a huge failer if we don't.

I did say before Moyesy has long term form for fancying midfielders over strikers - so agree. Look @ his Everton policy 4-5-1 mostly.

Agreed Sid. I see now that after being odds on to sign milenkovic we are now apparently nowhere near and apparently in talks with ZOUMA? Origi anyone? Hope to god we don't get Braithwaite. We could go get Onuacha for a little more but in true fashion we will look for the cheaper deals. Sick and tired and the slapstick, scattergun approach we take every window always battering for the cheapest deals. YES, I know clubs want deals, but for gods sake, when you need a player in a psosition as bad as we do, then go pay the money. How did Boulaye Dia end up at Villareal for the money he was bought for? Apparently (Typical west ham style) we are in talks with Liverpool for Origi? Why would they sell him to us.

{Ed0666's Note - Liverpool would like to offload Origi and you need a striker. Also I think he could possibly be a makeweight for Bowen?

Thanks for the input Ed, but would Bowen go without any replacement being sort, or could he if he got Origi and revert Antonio to a wider role with Origi up front, its a option that may just work!

{Ed0666's Note - Whats you’re opinion on Bowen mate? Antonio and Origi could easily interchange as Origi has played on the left for Liverpool many times so that could work also.
