Its easy to put the blame on Cresswell for not stopping the crosses but he had no help on his side. Once Benramha lost the ball we were wide open he must learn to chase back.
This is why i think Moyes is reluctant to play Benrahma.
We miss Masuaku as he and Cresswell play and complement each other.
Playing 2 in mid field does leave our flanks open for counter attacks. Arsenal quickly worked out our weakness as most the attacks came from the side Cresswell was defending.
One man cannot be expected to defend this gapping hole
Fornals was injured who also also covers this area well.
What do u lads think?

Agree totally, unless Benrahma learns to work back (the second goal coming directly from the player he was tracking and then stopped), he really is going to compete with Lingard for the 10 spot and will run second to him. To play him wide when he won't come back is leaving Cresswell exposed too often with two on one. Benrahma has a lot of skill and ability and I would like to see him succeed, but to do so he needs to play the position and not be another free player, we can't have two.

Play him as a striker if he’s not going to track back, Antonio looks knackered after 45mins, there were times when we were attacking Arsenal and Benrahma and Lingard were the two players highest up the pitch, Antonio was nowhere to be seen, strange for a striker?

Thought Soucek had a weak game in midfield too. Moyes did nothing to shut Chambers down. Needed Johnston in ahead of Cresswell instead of Fredericks coming on.

Once again we are trying to play and make players do what they ain't comfortable doing benrahma is a flair player or a luxery we shouldn't have signed him if we wanted to play him as a basically R/ WB same as formals he ain't use to tracking back OK formals does it but you will never see the best of those two by asking them to work their bollocks off up and down the wing as for me Benrahma is an out and out 10 and I think formals is to, that's just my opinion playing a 4-2-3-1 you have to track back or you are asking rice or soucek to pull them out of position then that's when the problems start, so if you are going to play this system where the wingers are not out and out wingers that don't have to do much tracking back don't sign these sort of players who aren't familiar with the role or use to the role or even happy playing there I totally understand you can be coached to do the job but strikes me of square pegs in round holes and it isn't right to expect players to do the job in the hardest league in the world.

Agree Morley and Benrahma is really only going to compete with Lingard for a role and if we sign Jessie permanently Benrahma is a very expensive back up. I don’t think we should ever have signed him, not because he is a bad Palmer but because I don’t think he is value for money in our setup. But it’s all a matter of opinions I guess.

Hi SDL we are in agreement on benrahma and we are stuck with him now so we have to play him in a No 10 role and be told to stick close to whoever is playing up front and told to attack and run at defenders in the box as I think he really is a very good player SDL.
