What a shame. The latest rumour is that Gareth Southgate is no longer in the running to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd. Had he been appointed, no doubt two things would almost immediately become evident:
Man Utd's inability as a club to identify a suitable manager; and
Gareth Southgate's total lack of ability as a top football coach.
Instead, we are left with the misguided belief that Southgate knows what he's doing; until he fails elsewhere that is. Just like he did at Middlesborough. In the meantime, Man Utd continue with their search for a guide to direct them back to their former glory days under Old Purple Nose. I just hope that Sullivan doesn't come up with the idea that Southgate might just fit in at the London Stadium. God help us if he does.

From what I've been reading it seems our next gaffer could be out of Tuchel and Potter!

Osh, the name Tuchel keeps popping up on a regular basis. As I understand it, he’s turned down a move to WHU, but he could change his mind. Personally, I think Tuchel might be another Pellegrini - a mistake. He’s a trouble maker. There are more suitable (and better) options out there.
Added to this worrying aspect are the reported interests of Liverpool in Kudus, and PSG in Paqueta. Bowen could also spark a flurry of interest. We cannot assume that any incoming coach will rebuild around our best players. Watch this space.
