Stretty News--Rio Ferdinand on David Moyes' failure at Man Utd:
"I think the biggest thing for me was that there was always too much focus on our opponents in training. We're Man Utd, they're meant to worry about us more.
"What that does to our mindset is there's an element of fear here and that filters through to the team and to the young players.
"All we're doing is talking about what are they going to do, but it should be about what are we going to do?"
Where have we heard that before?

100% for me. this is easily Moyes's BIGGEST weakness, and it is why i think he will never be able to achieve top 4 and/or challenge for a title consistently.
Look at all the top teams, and the mentality there is 1st and foremost ALWAYS how they be their best and BEAT the other team, winner mentality. Whereas the Moyse mentality is 1st and foremost on how we don't LOSE and then how we can MAYBE land a hit or two. It shows with his management of flair players like Benrahma, and maybe other players who need confidence to become their best. Youth can also suffer, unless they are Rooney and born with it. And i completely agree with the quote above.
This is why some fans want Moyse to leave, because even with class players he has a ceiling, and who knows when we will have 3-4 £80m players in our team again.
