I imagine Burnley are going to want £20+ million for Tarkowski which on the face of it isn't bad for a Premier League proven central defender in this day and age. However, he is 28 and there are, in my opinion, younger players who are as good as him but with potential to be better, available for less. Duje Caleta-Car for example is 24 and rumoured to be available for £13 million. David Zima is 20 and rumoured to be available for £10 million. both of which, I would take over Tarkowski to keep a bigger budget on other areas.

Caldera-Car looks the real deal to me. We have got a couple of U23s coming through too.

Tarkowski would be a great buy. He’s a warrior, big and enjoys defending. £20m would be a bargain. Would he improve our team, the answer is a resounding YES.
