i'm not going to blame the board for this one, this season will show what Moyes is about,

Im not going to get on the bandwagon on this but we are just going backwards, I really hate to say this but I honestly think this may be our year to go down, we need a total reset, we have lost our way as a football club, the fans hate the board, the board don't care what the fans think to a point, it won't be long before the fans get on Moyes back than what?,

We are a dysfunctional club at the moment, were sinking quicker than the Titanic and I just can't see any hope until new owners come in, which may be next year but I read more than likely 2023.

Dear oh Dear, its going to be groundhog day of last season, I just can't see any light not just in the players but as a club as a whole.

Newcastle game looked to me like a team not match fit, and this was evident from both teams. Rice and Soucek have both not had any sort of ideal "pre-season" and both did not hit the levels they were after lockdown. One plus side is that I thought the same after lockdown, and Moyes got us going soon after.
I have NO IDEA why Noble played so deep. I remember after lockdown he played much further up the pitch behind Antonio, and it worked ok. Vs Newcastle he seemed to come deep when we had the ball, this left us bare in the pocket as Soucek is not a passer, he is a box to box player who times his runs into the box. For me, FORNALS should play in the pocket or even go 2 up top. If NOBES is to play CAM then tactically get him to stick to that role. Even Bowen there works well with Yarmo out wide. With all our CAM's I think we can afford to bench Nobes in games like this.
Newcastle were not great by all means, they just took opportunities.
vs Charlton we could play Haller, Yarmo RW, Lanzini CAM and Anderson LW with Cullen and Rice/ Soucek behind. Could be a very good front line!

I think the problem is people only focus on the club they support. Newcastle fans hate their owner, a sale fell through, if they didn’t buy Wilson they had no fit striker, yet they outplayed us because why? Other clubs have their problems too, but our biggest issue is all the pi$$ing and moaning by not just the fans but even now the players. On paper we have a good enough squad to be mid table they just need to be motivated and the fans need to stop acting like their is some white knight that will fly in with billions of pounds and they should realise we are not rich and that we need to bring in just a couple of solid defenders. We are where we are, no different to the 60s, 70s, 80s etc and all this rubbish the club is counter productive. Yes it will be a fight but that is what we have done for as long as I can remember.

Agree to both points above.
SDL - you are right, this is normal and always has been. Why fans expect to be chasing europe as their base expectation every year is beyond me.
Whorya - I think we knew a while ago that he had slowed, and that we needed athleticism and improvements in CM, even more so now the game has become even more about running. Problem is, he is still our best passer, and by far our best captain. Last year it was a great move from Moyes to get Soucek in and then put Nobes further up where his lack of pace can be accomodated, and players could still benefit from his leadership and attitude.
New season now though, and Nobes should be an impact sub going forward. He should have been last year but this position was NEVER ADDRESSED previously. We have SOO many options in CAM Lanzini, Fornals, Snods or even Cullen who all have better legs. Get them on from the start. Note - only Cullen from the above is someone i believe can play as a 2 man CM. All other are CAM with TWO players behind them in CM.
LOVE Nobes, but we should use him sparingly and tactically corretly in today's athletic game.

Correct me if i'm wrong but we are the 7th wealthiest club in england i truly understand the way the economy is at the minute but i don't see other clubs not spending money EVERTON are 8th in the list and they have bought in a couple of new faces so why can't we we've sold €25 million pound in transfers so that has freed up a little in the wage bill so we need at least 3 new faces otherwise things are going to go south very quickly and ni one in claret and blue wants that. Those richest rankings mean little when it comes to buying players, it is about the available cash. Don’t pay too much attention to the rich list.

I see other clubs aren't holding back VILLA have managed to find players and when you buy players you don't put all the money up front its normally paid in stages. COYI.

Hiya NLCKINHO you can't afford to have any weak links in the premier league especially a struggling outfit like us NOBLE has been a good servent but he's championship level at best along with CRESSWELL and he was playing for england not too long ago ableit only vaguely, I've always liked a diamond formation in midfield. COYI.
