Hi fellas, BRAHIMI and INSIGNE now under the spotlight, Boy do we have a passion for wingers, THERE must be a plan here, , BUT no body seems to know what it is,? Back later IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - Whilst the interest of Manchester City and Lazio has gone, PSG retain an interest in Yacine Brahimi but he has complex third party ownership issues and a very high price tag. Milan, Chelsea and Wolfsburg have a declared interest but the price is putting them off but all are willing to negotiate. However, MIlan would likely not be able to fund his transfer, Chelsea has a preferred target and Wolfsburg have picked up Dinamo Zagreb's Josip Brekalo (who was one on the list of young Arsenal targets that I discussed elsewhere). I am not aware of any approach by West Ham nor if West Ham would be able to fund such a significant purchase with their priority elsewhere.

Fiorentina and Spurs were interested in striking a deal for Insigne last summer but the player was insistant that he wanted to stay in Naples. A January approach to Napoli by PSG was rebuffed with a "not for sale" response. Real Madrid and Arsenal both watched the player against Legia Warsaw as his agent was keen to share. There is no secret that Insigne has made it clear wants to play for Arsenal at some point - whether or not they are interested is another matter . A summer move away from Napoli might just be possible, but the cost would be significant and Napoli are very difficult to deal with. The player has said he would be open to a new contract but they cannot agree on the wages so are right now still at a stalemate. Barcelona, Atletico and Juventus have all spoken with his agent regarding his availability this summer. Napoli will not feel obliged to sell and they are in no rush. I suspect he will stay unless a very significant offer comes from Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona. I am not aware of any approach from West Ham at all.}

Anyone else get the feeling that if we are still looking for attacking midfielders / wingers that it could be because Payet is potentially being sold?

nah I don't think so bilic was chatting earlier and said we were keeping him and we want to move on from being a selling club etc, would look daft after mjising out on a few targets to then say we definatly aren't selling him and then sell him, I asked ealier about tores injury I wonder if that and lanzinis injury may be a little worse than feared so we need more cover.

Is calierri no longer a consideration? A one year loan would give us 12 months to look at others.
