Whitby, going to North Yorkshire in July to Pickering for 5 days, any tips. We plan to visit Whitby, York, Harrogate etc, any other info appreciated? ⚒⚒⚒

Nice one mate, be busy in Whitby that time of year bud, hope the weather will be nice for you man. Pickering is nice, I worked over there for 8 years, I think you will be good with your choices mate, York and Harrogate are lovely places. Just don’t go to Scarborough lol ????????

Thanks Whitby/Tin?5 of us going, Wife, and Daughters Hubby and elder children. Never been that far up North for probably 55 years?Will steer clear of Scarborough on your advice?Not looking forward to the drive which I see is about 4.5 hours if we’re lucky from Essex? ⚒⚒⚒

Yeah it’s a long drive mate used to take me 5 and 1/2 to get to Poole when I worked down there. Hope you have good time mate. Well done to the lads for 14th place finish. Let’s see what the summer brings now.

Whitby, if that’s Poole in Dorset, you made good time time in 5.5 hours, shows 6.15 hours at 340 miles on AA route, from Chelmsford it’s 3 hours so you did well mate?⚒⚒⚒

I agree about Scarborough, but if you’re looking to visit a seaside place, you’re better off with Robin Hoods Bay. I haven’t been there for about 30 years, but the setting is lovely and that shouldn’t change. Look it up. ??

Thank you, did look it up, only 6 miles from Whitby, lots to fit in so will be tiring? ⚒⚒⚒⚒
