I pray Pacqueta has a good World Cup so we can get rid of him. Taxi for Pacquetta.

Mark, agree absolutely, totally underwhelming despite all the hype by some on here before we signed them, same with Scamacca, Kerah, Cornet, and the others albeit with some injury problems!
If those were sanctioned by DM or whoever, the Board should be ashamed! DM says he doesn’t like buying from UK league as too expensive, so total spend of £170million is cheap then! The man should be Managing in the. Championship at most.
Southgate, another in the DM mould, doesn’t even pick Toney in the squad for Qatar, he’s been prolific for Brentford, disgraceful!
Is it something about some Managers that were ex defenders?

I think we’ve still got to see the best of Paqueta, if we played to his strengths i.e more attacking and not defensive then hopefully we can see what he can do, if the opposition keep having most of the percentage of play then players like Paqueta are wasted.

From what I’ve seen of him before West Ham he’s well deserved the praise. He’s also been selected for the Brazil squad even though his performances since joining us have been sporadic and nothing special. Brazil even sent their team doctor to London to check on his injury status, so they must value him. Stevie is quite right - we haven’t seen the best of him because the way our manager sets up his teams is not conducive to his style of play. When Moyes goes, you’ll see a revitalised Paqueta.

Sorry chaps but I am not one to agree to playing to players strengths, I am old school (78) being paid ridiculous money, you should be adaptable, it’s not a difficult sport to play, an attacker attacks, defenders defend, if they can do both, great!
I watched highlights of City v Brentford, Brentford were dynamic, made us look like a lower league outfit, I would be hard pressed to name more than two of their players!
What would DM have done in this fixture, makes me so bloody angry with our setup, he is not a Premiership Manager! He can thrust all his statistics in our faces, but he is bloody boring, boring, boring!
They are all in a Millionaires bubble, they don’t care about fans travelling 2/3 hours and paying out a large proportion of earnings on average or below average income!
I will never go to the Stadium while DM is Managing!
Sorry chaps, rant over!

Only 2 teams are worse than us: Southampton and Everton. Wolves, Forest, Bournemouth look like they may score. We look awful. Our team looks thrown together. We do not have a goal scorer. I predict at the end of the season we’ll be 3rd bottom. Everyone blames DM but the players bar Zouma, Rice, Benrahma have been championship standard. and I include our ‘so’ big players/signing. They all need a kick up the arse.

The senior players need a kicking cause they are going backwards. On the upside, if we end 3rd bottom we will get relegated and the big money signings will be sold, a new manager will come in and things will change hopefully for the better.

Jesus, doom and gloom or what, DM will be sacked one way or another or he will scrape enough results and save his arse and our prem status. As for the new players coming in, no one can judge them until a new manager comes in and we play decent football. Another thing is the supply to Scammaca has been non existent, Players behind and alongside Paqueta have been awful, I.E. Bowen and Soucek, Kehrer is typically a CB but can play as a RB and only playing there as Coufal and Johnson are dreadful and Bowen is providing no cover our outlet. And most of all they are being coached to play dreadful defensive football and are frightened to make mistakes. I could go on but I won't. Just one person to blame for where we are in the table and the performance of the playes. Step forward Mr Moyes and take a bow!

Kehler is a right back, plays there for Germany, and did so for PSG. He’s cost us points and goals this season. Cornet £17m worth of treatment table, Pacqueta £51m worth of nothing, Scamacca £35m some return but he’s not a strong lad, Aguerd £30m worth of treatment table. Our summer spending curious. You’d have thought one of the players would look decent, but so far it’s looking ominous. Why did DM buy British or players used to playing in England. Zouma, Benrahma, Ariola worked. Soucek n Coufal did not cost a fortune in nowadays money.
Every time we buy big from abroad it flops: Haller, Anderson, Pacqueta, Scamacca, I’ll give Aguerd a reprieve

Markwhu, Kehrer is a predominantly a CB but he can play as a RB or LB. He was signed as a CB.

Nobody has mentioned Downes. For me, he’s been the best buy this summer, but Moyes hardly plays him and reserves criticism for the lad, just to enhance his confidence. Not only is Moyes out of his depth in the premiership, during his much praised 11 years at Everton where he achieved nothing, he came in for a lot of criticism for his abilities in the transfer market. History is repeating itself, but the WH board have been duped into believing all the TV pundit hype that Moyes is a decent coach. When pressed for evidence of that assessment, the facts reveal it’s total bollocks.

Re the wider points concerning our manager - his habit of playing 9 midfielders comes from when the Everton guvnor told him there was no money for strikers. What is the excuse here at the London Stadium here in late 2022?!
