I think this has been another terrific window. We have had a proper clear out up front and brought in young, hungry players MPH are keen on. The addition of Fornals to the attacking midfielders returning from injury last season is exciting.

Like many though, I have been generally concerned defensively. So I thought I’d do a brief summary of who can play in each of the four positions of concern.

RB: Fredericks, Zaba, Johnson

CB: Diop, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Reid, Cardoso, Rice

LB: Cresswell, Masuaku, Johnson, Ogbonna, Cardoso

DM: Rice, Noble, Sanchez, Wilshere, Snodgrass, Cardoso

All of the above have played in those positions and when listed like that, we seem pretty well covered, with DM being the greatest concern if Rice were out.

Against City, I would start:

Fab
Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Johnson
Rice, Wilshere
Fornals, Lanzini, Anderson
Haller.

Thanks slaven for taking DIANGANA that will toughen him up playing in the championship. COYI.

If he can be stronger on the ball then his future will be even brighter.

Think I’d prefer Noble ahead of Wilshere for Saturdays game. With Fornals Lanzini Anderson supporting Haller, then Rice will need support, plus Wilshere has glass ankles. I’d play him against the certain, or expected 3 pointers.

Noble is injured. If we are to get something from man city wilshere will be key.
