Would happily see perez and Carroll go providing we can get 1 quality st replacement. Probably too much to do for a January window if we can get rid of one then at least releases wages to strengthen in midfield.

Would love us to go get another quality striker if we are going to play 2 up top Silva should be ahead of perez in the pecking order for me he should go he's definitely got to be the first out of the door to make room for another.

We're we just robbed by a linesman again? Looks that way, deserved the win again today not much we can do about it very frustrating for players and fans.

20 minutes in 2 massive decisions both wrongly given against us. Should be 1 nil up typical.

Where's VAR when you need it.

2.) 13 Apr 2019 18:32:53
It will first be used in prem against West ham I'll put money on it. Funnily enough they have just said they probably wouldn't have reviewed the penalty which is bizarre.

Would be typical of us to get the win today be happy with a good performance though.

Arnautovic dropped from match day squad, injury? Sulking?

Fredericks on the bench, Snodgrass starting and no Antonio = little to no pace!

Nathan Holland on the bench finally let's see what he can do.

Glad to see Masuaku back in the team, winced when I typed that please don't make me eat my words.

If we get another opportunity to go seventh I'll be putting a wedge on us getting beat.

Massive overhaul needed in the summer don't think we have a big enough budget for the amount of work that needs done. Not to mention the effort it will take to get rid of the the players not up to it.

RB/ LB CM ST CB needed if we really want to push on.

Don’t forget a good as well.

Linesman almost cost us a point at the end, could argue cost us all 3 very poor.

Good performance we look a lot more solid 433. I think we can have another good run of games which can fire us up the league very patchy but if we can go on a run like in December or possibly better when players start coming back don't see why we can't still possibly nab 7th or 8th still very tight around there.

Rice quality once again tackled or intercepted.

^Which often lead to dangerous attacks.

Another season or 2 with us would probably be best, if he continues at this rate man u and real are the only 2 teams that could afford him out of the ones you mentioned. He was superb yesterday, countless brilliant tackles always intelligent in his play, he keeps getting better in a attacking sense too. Would love him to do a Billy Bonds but the lure of competing for the champions league with real is more than understandable.

Ed, will it be Husillos acting on behalf of west ham now?

Was he the man behind last window?

{Ed002's Note - One of the owners still has far too much involvement with the transfers at West Ham United, but I have zero confidence that Mario Husillos can fix anything at all - it was a hopeless appointment as I said at the time.}

Any truth in us being interested in Dani Olmo?

{Ed002's Note - Dani Olmo was looked at by West Ham last season when Dinamo Zagreb were happy to profiteer with interest from Borussia Dortmund, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Cagliari and most noticably Milan. They wanted too much and he is spending the season in Zagreb. I am not aware of any renewal of interest but given previous interest, it would not be a surprise.}

Haha it was soon edited.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, having to deal with vegetable matter like you as well means the site will become unusable. All I tried to do was explain politely what the actual situation is. Now we have to suffer ignorant half-wits like you getting involved.}

We would still be well in the mix if it wasn't for poor decisions going against us.

I don't think we deserve it and I don't think we are ready for Europe anyway. We should be top 10 at least.

Gomez and mitro are better at linking the play and better at finishing also younger. Woods yes is very good in the air as for pace I can't say non of them are known for it, either way very little in it.

I forgot about byram, fernades, Hugill. It's best not to get into prices too much as ed points out it's not as straight foward as it may seem. Payments are in instalments then there's agent fees buying and selling, player fees and probably loads of other things I don't have knowledge of. I'd imagine we will have to pay out just trying to find some of those players a new club no one is hardly chomping at the bit to get them.

Masuaku did well tonight, cresswell hasn't covered himself in glory recent seasons either. It's a tough decision to make and I'm glad I'm not making it maybe Pellegrini will stick with what he has there who knows? I'd certainly like to know what positions we have prioritised.

I think the 75m comes from selling, Adrian, Masuaku, Obiang, Snodgrass, Perez, Hernandez and Arnautovic without selling the latter I think the rest could bring in 20-30m.

I'd rather any of the following over Chris woods- Gomez, Mitrovic, kramaric, Wesley Moares. Woods is good for Burnley but I don't think he would fit Pellegrinis style of play.

Angelino of PSV may be a good shout at LB and their RB Dumfries certainly has the physical attributes for the premier league.

It would be smart for us to splash out on a quality full back can't remember the last time we did. They are so important in the modern game its a shame masuaku makes so many mistakes and positional sense always looks terrible as going foward he's very good if his delivery was better might justify him making mistakes here and there.

The midfielders you mention all look very young with good potential but already look on the radar of bigger clubs. So may be out of our reach.

One things for sure pellegrini and everyone involved in transfers who ever that is at West ham has their work cut out for them. If business carrys on like it has in the past under the Dave's then we will yo yo around mid table occasionally competing for 7th and flirting with relegation. We do have big potential though if we can sort out the way we do business and hold on to players like Rice if and when they come from our academy.

Loftus cheek wants to stay at Chelsea. I don't think he's a viable option now it seems he is getting more game time also.

Giroud is old but top scorer in Europa league he's probably happy where he is.

I'm hoping for an emergence of CB Alese and RB Johnson be good to see if they can provide cover and eventually break into first team would certainly save us money It would make sense for them to be given a chance before seasons end. Then we can concentrate on the other areas I think we are desperate for a quality CM to replace Noble and partner Rice.

We should stop patching up our squad with older players on high wages and look to youth with actual sell on value and potential.

We need to look closer to home and try sign a quality home grown player. Che Adams would be a good shout but not cheap, Shelvey springs to mind also I know he's had some stick but on his day he's quality pings passes and not afraid to get stuck in, fingers have been pointed at his attitude I'm unsure on exactly why he has this reputation he's been loved by the Geordies and surely if their was any issues that would be ironed out by the fact he's west ham.
