We got just 7 points from the top 6 last year. Already have 4 so far this season, and should have had more vs Arsenal. I did a points forecast on our remaining matches and got to 50 points, thought i was being realistic. Interestingly i gave us just 2 points vs the top 6 (i gave us zero vs UTD) .
The majority of our points came from home games vs teams 7th and below. Oddly, I gave us just 2 more wins away from home, so maybe i was a bit optimistic for our home form LOL and pessimistic abut our away form.
What points total do people think is a good target for this year?

Id be very happy with 50 or more, that gets you a solid league position usually (7th the last 2 seasons) . If we could match the 62 points Bilic got in the final Upton Park year then that would be incredible. Interestingly, Chelsea got 50 points the season before they won it in 16/ 17. Klopp's Liverpool got 60pts in his first season.

For me, in many ways, it’s goal difference. I want us to play attractive football, as we did v MU, and end up with a positive goal difference. That would do for me in Pelle’s first season.

I got 59 and was being pessimistic *but* injuries happen etc. I also put a wee bet on a top six finish as reckon it may be in reach (especially if Man Utd continue to implode)

Glen1540, I had a dabble as well before the season started, I got rather carried away when I looked at the odds from various bookies, especially with our £100m signings, I had a bet on winning the Premiership title at 500-1😂😂 and put a bit extra on a top 4 finish at 50-1 as I thought that could be a possibility at the time 😂😂 top six at the time wasn’t worth bothering with at about 12-1 as maybe even the bookies thought some minor miracle might happen for a top 6 finish. ⚒⚒⚒⚒.
