Mike do you think our business is over? Can we expect anymore big signings? Is there much money left for transfers/ wages?

With Reid out that only leaves us with 1 senior CB with prem experience in ogbonna whos form been very patchy. We really need diop rice and balbuena to step up I didn't see the Preston game and have heard varying opinions on diop and rice at the back which is quite worrying.

Pellegrini has shown he prefures to limit the amount defending his team's do by having players that can keep possession in the final third which makes sense of why we are still being linked to wingers/ attacking midfielders even after we have signed wilshire, Anderson, yarmolenko if any of these were to get injured that would leave us light in players who can play the way pellegrini wants. Yes Arni can drop deeper but then that leaves us light up top. hernandez won't want to play second fiddle could ask to leave and if we do get rid of Antonio and Snodgrass we need suitable replacments.

With that being said our business should be far from over can we shift these players and bring in replacements in time that is likely to be the issue.

After watching yesterday I certainly hope that players coming in is not over I was alarmed with the ease the Preston forwards skipped around and but for wayward finishes could have won easily Diops got talent but cannot be first pick on this showing surely ? Rice done good until Bodin ran rings around him 2 nd half Ogbonna was slow and clumsy Personally I think we have enough going forward with the introduction of Andersen he Yarmolenko Arnie and Wilshere. Will get goals aided by Fredericks MY concern is the back where I see no improvement whatsoever No side ever achieved anything without a good defence. This week we shall see Balbuena coming on but we need a quality DM or TwO. To stop the flow against the defence. IRONMIKE.

Still early days on diop and for the team learning pellegrinis ways. Tbf to rice I did see bodins goal and it looked to me as it was a bad touch by bodin that turned into a piece of skill that caught rice out i don't actually think bodin meant it, be interesting to know what others thought on that? This is what pre-season is for not only fitness and tactics to learn from these mistakes now get them ironed out ready for the season, let's not forget we won every game in pre-season under Avram grant and we all know how that turned out.

As for DM I think this is a position we all know has needed an upgrade for a while now. hope this is now the priority and we are willing to spend big. Obiang can play I think he has been unlucky with injuries unfortantely.

It's too early to be worried Mike, the guys are not fit yet, some are still adjusting to a new team, new country, new league, new and faster paced game. it all takes time, we'll be fine.

yeah only a couple of pre season every ones not going to be anywhere near up to speed yet, I think diop will be good addition just needs a little bit of time to settle.

I fully understand as I've never gone with pre-season games as just to get fit bollocks to the result, but i hope and prey BALBUENA shines for us because we need it so come on fabian let's see a prooer centre half because as thinfs stand DIOP is raw and undercooked imo as BALBUENA has more experiance than issa we should see a complete c/ b one bright thing on ISSA is PSG and all their mega stars could only beat them 1-0 so he can't be as bad as he's shown so far. COYI.
