Mike, have you heard anything on Payet?
Call me paranoid, but I'm not buying the whole injury or 'slight knock' stories. Bilic has just pretty much confirmed he won't feature at City.
It seems to me there maybe something going on behind the scenes and he could be off.
Spurs did similar will Bale when he went to Madrid. Keep a low profile so he doesn't get burnt in public, which is what Payet's agent said.

I rekon payet and possibly lanzini may be off, hence neither of them appeared last night, zaza is a smokescreen buy to take the pain away of losing payet and lanzini.

If we sell payet and lanzini we will get crowds of 35,000 mate the board ain't stupid!

{Ed002's Note - Players are transient employees of the club, if the West Ham supporters are really that fickle then the club should look for a smaller stadium. Would Millwall be interested in a ground share?}

Better not be or there will be riots. Pointless having a striker like ZAZA if he hs no supply and if Lanzini and Payet are off why didn't we get Pereya.

I am also really concerned and I think the West ham Fans world wide are concerned at this time with RB situation which KEEPS GETTING found out. When will Slaven and the owners learn and address the situation?

Come on lads - get a grip. Do you really think we would sell our 2 best players?

I know we lost last night but come on! It's as if some people actually want to see West Ham do badly just to give them something to moan about.

We should have strolled past Astra last night - why the hell would we risk Payet or Lanzini in a game which we should have won easily.

I think you're right mate. To add salt to the wounds, Payet has been named in the French squad playing next week. Piss take.

Payet and lanzini will be going nowhere, the problem lies with Bilic and the way he sets up the team and the terrible buys (apart from Masuake) .

The buck should stop with him.

Let's not pretend or dream we are a big club because we are far away from there!

I can tell you Lanzini will definitely not be sold as he only signed permanently this summer. Payet on the other hand, the fact he hasn't played any Europa league hence not cup tieing him in Europe may be a bad sign that he is moving on. I just hope if he is we get a good replacement from the club he is going to as well as a lot of cash.

Lanzini won't be sold, but it's becoming obvious Payet's future does not seem to be at West Ham.

I can't blame him, the guy is world class and deserves Champs League football. What could cause a mini riot between fans is the way the manager and board have handled it. All we've heard all Summer is his 100% staying, we won't sell him unless its silly money - Bilic only said last week keeping him was massive for the club. Every sign points to him leaving right now though and very little time to find a top replacement, especially being out of Europe.

Hang on a second. Am I being stupid or ignorant here because I don't understand where this talk is coming from. I honestly don't see them leaving. Do you not think that if Payet was going to be sold we would have sold him by now and used the money to bring in one of those big names we were chasing (lacazette for example) .

I may be being very silly here but I just can't see it. I really really hope I'm right, because we could have used some Lanzini and Payet magic last night.

Let's all not forget that they genuinely could be (and probably are) not quite fit yet.

26 Aug 2016 11:42:51
leave it out they ain't going to sell either, after everything they've said about payet all summer, and the way the show a pic of everything he does on the Web page given a big shirt at the stadium even though he's only been with us for a season would be embarrassing for them if we sold him, plus they must realise we are quite crap without payet and lanzini.

Not trying to incite panic lads, just piecing together the current situation. It is so similar to that of Bale when he left Spurs.

1) Agent comes out and said Payet never said he was staying, or he would 'get burnt in public'
2) No social media interaction (baring in mind he was the most active last season) it's weird.
3) Has an apparent injury, no real updates from the club as to what it is. Not been in training or at the club for over a week. Now Bilic has lied that he would play Sunday when he clearly wont.
4) Hasn't once been to the stadium to watch the team like others.
5) Named in French squad to play next week.

1 bad result and so the negativity and paranoia begins. That's me done with this page. Last year bilic hailed for the attractive attacking football, great buys. He has 5 first team players out, we lose and suddenly it's let's get rid of him.

13.) 26 Aug 2016
26 Aug 2016 13:36:36
no one has said get rid of Bilic here not sure why your saying that.

14.) 26 Aug 2016
26 Aug 2016 15:18:23
There's a few that have been hinting he's not good enough already.
Robbel for example - "Payet and lanzini will be going nowhere, the problem lies with Bilic and the way he sets up the team and the terrible buys (apart from Masuake) "
And numerous other things written across twitter.
The over the top panic is frankly just stupid and shows a huge lack of peoples understanding of football. I'm all for opinions and different views but some are so extreme it's a joke.

15.) 26 Aug 2016
26 Aug 2016 18:13:04
It would cost the club a few bob to refund all the shirts with Payet 27 on if he were to leave this week.

fair enough hammer316 I don't read twitter so no idea what was said on there.
