As far as Antonio is concerned, Southgate must have believed his boat has sailed, which is why he never got a chance with England. I can understand the desire to play international football - hence Jamaica even though that’s clearly a very poor 2nd best. But what choice did Antonio have?

With his dodgy hammies, the fewer games he plays elsewhere, the better.

He has started the season for us in terrific form.
